Yuzhny Boulevard: A Story in Stone and Water

⏫Yuzhny Boulevard in Dnipro, Ukraine (2018-2021) by Filimonov & Kashirina architects, transformed a city-center space into a vibrant pedestrian zone. This project #seamlessly extends an existing boulevard, weaving a storytelling narrative into its design.

⚙️The boulevard is cleverly divided into three longitudinal zones: transit paths along #buildings, and a diverse central area for recreation, quiet rest, and children's play. The most striking feature is #Ukraine's longest artificial creek, symbolizing the #underground Zhabokryach River, and becoming the dominant element of the pedestrian space.
