🧐 AHL architects explain that traditional homes in Vietnam have long used buffer zones—such as deep verandas, lattices, thick walls, and trees—for #cooling in the #tropical climate. The porch, in particular, plays a crucial role as a transitional, #multipurpose #space connecting indoor and outdoor #environments, common in northern Vietnamese homes.

🎮Inspired by this #concept, the DHY house was designed by a famous #fashion #designer for her #mother in Thai Nguyen. It combines living spaces with porches and buffer zones in various proportions.

🎮The #Tourism Immersion Center (CIT) in El Peñol is a key part of the master plan to boost tourism in the municipality. #Strategically located between El Peñol and Guatape, it takes advantage of the #stunning natural surroundings #overlooking the reservoir and Piedra del Peñol. Its design integrates #harmoniously into the landscape, prioritizing the immersive #experience with large openings and so-terraces that make it blend into the #environment. It stands out for its system of public spaces that connects the #project with the landscape, creating a dynamic and integrated #experience.

👀The Heights School, designed by #Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), brings together two secondary programs into a single, #innovative 180,000-square-foot building in Arlington, Virginia. 🎮The #design features rotating rectangular floorplates and green terraces, creating a #dynamic vertical community. #Accommodating up to 775 students, the #school emphasizes creativity, collaboration, and sustainability, aiming for #LEED #Gold #certification.🤌
