The #runway intersects with Winston Churchill Avenue, Gibraltar's main road, requiring vehicular traffic to stop whenever an #aircraft takes off or lands.🏜 This #proximity to the Rock of Gibraltar and the city center creates challenging conditions for pilots, who must #navigate #steep approaches and strong crosswinds. #Despite its small size, Gibraltar Airport is a crucial transportation hub, connecting the region to the #UK and other countries.🤌

Beijing Performing Arts Centre

😊The Beijing Performing Arts Centre, designed by #shlarchitects and #perkinswill, is a monumental complex in Tongzhou, a historic area along Beijing’s Grand Canal. The architecture is #inspired by the area’s past as a trade and storage hub, with the buildings’ forms referencing #traditional #canal boats and #warehouse #rooflines.🚀

💤The #center consists of #three world-class venues—an opera house, a theater, and a concert hall—each designed for optimal performance, acoustics, and functionality. Its elevated plinth integrates the surrounding park with the canal, blending architecture and landscape.🎮 #Sustainability is a key focus, with the #building envelope conserving energy and a porous landscape designed to manage #stormwater, earning the project a China Three Star ⭐️ rating for environmental performance.🤌

Bamboo Craft Village I by Archi-Union Architects

👍Archi-Union: The #Bamboo Craft Village is located in Daoming County, Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province, more than 50 kilometers away from the urban area. The #village, with a strong atmosphere of rural life and close #neighborhoods, is a typical representative of local living environment - Lin Pan, along with vernacular intangible cultural heritage - Bamboo Weaving. 🖖After looking into the current #situation and needs in person, the designer of the village, Philip F. Yuan, attempts to create a rural #infrastructure space integrated with culture industry system sensitive to the #ecology, culture, industry and lifestyle of the village.🤌
