Up for discussion: fixing the student loan problem starts with the cost of higher education.

Should universities should look to themselves as trustees of future generations and thus reduce costs (the public good argument), instead of trying to extract as much money as they can from 18 year olds?
The Biden DOJ is extremely dangerous.

Gov. Cuomo's state was being investigated for nursing home deaths. Cuomo hid the data. And apparently Cuomo was rewarded by Biden's DOJ with a dropped investigation.

We get caught up in the merits of the Trump impeachment defense that we sometimes forget an important point: This is a political prosecution that should be dismissed and disregarded for political reasons.

We don't need to argue jurisdiction or facts, although we can. It's sufficient for us to appeal to political self-interest because the other side is doing the same thing.
Powerful.
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and comments on the student loan question (and everything else, really). I reached out to some folks and heard some compelling stories. Y'all are the best 🙏
Interesting developments since the Cuomo leaks, where his aide said the DOJ “dropped” the investigation. NY federal prosecutors may have picked it up after the Civil Division dropped the matter. We shall see.
Been thinking of this for quite some time. Your comments have been informative. Conclusion: The trustees have failed.

Rich colleges extract wealth from students and predatory lenders leave graduates hopeless.

What is the future of a country that rips off the young?

Wise words: Justice Thomas dissenting from the Supreme Court’s refusal to take up the PA election case. The inaction from the Supreme Court will only encourage more abuse.
Since November 3, 2020, we've been told that elections cannot be questioned.

And today the Supreme Court agreed with that premise.

John Solomon released new documents relating to the FBI's interviews and use of confidential human source Stefan Halper against the Trump Campaign.

Our write-up with a link to the source documents:

Hilarious that the FBI Washington Field Office puts out the "WANTED BY THE FBI" poster on Konstantin Kilimnik the same day the Halper FBI memos get released.
I know there's a lot of names involved in Spygate - and a lot of foreigners - so here's a short background on Kilimnik. He's a Russian political consultant who has long ties to Paul Manafort. He was alleged to have "obstructed justice" by preventing witness testimony in Manafort's DC case. The FBI poster says Kilimnik has "ties to Russian Intelligence."
What the FBI neglects to mention is that Kilimnik was also a source for the US Embassy in Ukraine.

This is the unsealed Court transcript we obtained from Manafort's DC case. The Judge discusses that the Special Counsel confirmed that "Kilimnik regularly spoke with officials in the embassy."
It gets better. The FBI is offering a reward of $250K for Kilimnik and only $100K for the RNC/DNC pipe bomb suspect. 🤡

One time warning: spamming comments with links (see pic) will get you banned.

I don’t mind links shared as part of a discussion (e.g. see this story on impeachment or whatever), but copy/paste self promotion is getting out of hand. I enjoy Telegram and the discussions and won’t let it be diminished.

Navarro guarantees "at least 3 indictments" for Spygate. We suspect these will be for false statement charges to the FBI (false statements from sources) during its Crossfire Hurricane investigation, with an outside chance that former FBI officials will be indicted for false statements and/or misrepresentations on warrants (not FISA related).
