A new filing raises questions in the Ghislaine Maxwell case.

Accusations that federal prosecutors lied to obtain evidence.

Our write-up on the latest Maxwell developments - including the court documents.

Accusation by Ghislaine Maxwell attorneys:

The DOJ “produced documents indicating that government prosecutors misled a federal judge to obtain evidence against Ms. Maxwell”

Note: documents are still sealed.
A new fight in the Ghislaine Maxwell case-

Maxwell has requested an OK for a subpoena "directed at a law firm that represents [her] alleged victims."

Would require production of personal/confidential victim info.

The victims law firm is fighting the proposed subpoena. Expect a ruling in the coming weeks.

Friends, there are lots of competing stories on the South Dakota law - we did a deeper review.

On South Dakota and Governor Noem - the blame goes all around.

HB 1217 is a poorly written law and Noem's revisions don't go far enough.

If this fight is going to court, then let's fight to win and start from a position of strength.
New - more info coming out in the Ghislaine Maxwell case.

The FBI New York office interviewed 4 victims of Maxwell/Jeffrey Epstein in 2007-2008 - and didn't open a separate investigation.
On that sloppy CNN article about Special Counsel John Durham:

What we know about the Durham investigation so far. (There's more to it than CNN reports)

How CNN tries to downplay the latest "developments."

New order in the Ghislaine Maxwell case -

Maxwell will be arraigned in-person on her new charges (sex trafficking of a minor) on April 16.

One possible issue at the hearing:

"Tactical gamesmanship" by prosecutors for the new (late) charges against Maxwell "based on evidence that was in the govt's possession for years"
They’re never letting it go.
I hope you find magic and beauty this summer:

The right roads take us on a trip to the past and present and future all at once.

Ghislaine Maxwell's lawyers continue her fight for bail.

Latest accusation: Maxwell's jail is "permeated with mold and vermin. Cockroaches and rodents are plentiful."

Latest Govt filing in the Ghislaine Maxwell case makes the DOJ/FBI look really bad -

Ghislaine was hit with new charges of sex trafficking of a minor on 3/29/21.

The Govt had previously interviewed this victim back in 2007.

They knew this entire time.

As we protest the Julian Assange prosecution we must acknowledge its truth: that Justice at the highest levels in the U.S. is self-interested, not blind.

New York Times: Special Counsel Durham is focusing (in part) on Steele Dossier primary sub-source Igor Danchenko.

There should be false statement charges against Danchenko for lying to the FBI about his contacts w/ Russian intel.

If anything, this is progress in the right direction (a focus on a witness deserving scrutiny).
Full story from the NYT:
https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/12/us/politics/durham-investigation-brookings-institution.html

Quote:

"Durham has obtained documents from the Brookings Institution related to Igor Danchenko, a Russia researcher who worked there a decade ago and later helped gather rumors about Mr. Trump and Russia for that research, known as the Steele dossier, according to people familiar with the request."
The DOJ declines to prosecute the officer who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt.

Their press release on the investigation was dishonest.

What the DOJ isn't telling you: they have charged officers for lesser offenses - and with less proof.

Ghislaine Maxwell moves for a continuance of the July 12 trial date.

Argument: new charges require more investigation.

Needs more time to review newly produced "20,000 pages of interview notes" and 2,100 "Highly Confidential" photos.
