The news of Kucoin delisting TONE is a painful one for every token holder. But it was especially painful for us to learn that the real reason of the delisting came from a banal miscommunication within Kucoin's organization.
TONE was not delisted due to low liquidity, but because of a management decision which was based on a misinterpreted information. Earlier we informed our Kucoin operations manager that we have a potential business opportunity, which would provide an additional use case for TONE. We also clarified that this would be done by a different project, not TE-FOOD. However, when this information reached the management, it was interpreted in a way that TE-FOOD is significantly changing its products and business model, which might represent a risk, so they decided on delisting it, and published the information about it.
When we heard the news from our community members, we requested more information from Kucoin, and they revealed the reason of delisting for us (the risk of new product and business model). We immediately told them that this is a misunderstanding, but they answered that the management already made the decision so there is no way to change it.
So as we see, TONE has been delisted from Kucoin due to a failure in the information flow within Kucoin. As the whole crypto industry is in the hands of a few centralized exchanges, this structure can lead to such shameful incidents.
We are deeply sorry to see how this many years of cooperation ended, but we are committed on working for the adoption of blockchain and crypto, as this is the area we can control, and where we are successful. And we hope, that once the crypto scene will favor projects, which actually work for the benefit of humanity, and try to solve social problems with decentralized technologies.
