Let’s start preparing for the WINGS 1 June cycle. I suggest we begin our preparation from today itself so we have enough time to cover everything properly.

I’ll be sharing resources, useful materials, and important messages that I find in different group chats. Please go through them and use them effectively for your preparation.

Hi, sharing my experience about the Wings 1 exam. Views and opinions are personal.

Articulation:
You just need to clear Articulation (pass is enough). Nothing technical—it's more about how to behave and communicate in an office environment. Go through the relevant topics on iEvolve course and prepare each one carefully. Don’t skip any topic.

Business Skill (BizSkill):
You need to either get a Distinction in BizSkill 1 or BizSkill 2, or complete an external Intermediate-level certification and clear it. Check which certifications are applicable for your unit and choose accordingly. For certifications, you will receive a voucher from TCS.

Tech Track:
In the Tech Track, you need to get a Distinction. There are many tech tracks; I took T13. Check whether T13 is available under your unit.

There are two parts to clear:
MCQs & Hands-on

First, focus on getting practical knowledge.

For MCQs, use resources like YouTube, websites, and other online materials. There is no fixed syllabus—questions can come from anywhere between Tableau and Informatica. The exam can be unpredictable, so aim to get end-to-end knowledge of both tools and cover all major topics.

For the Hands-on section, clearing the prerequisite exam in iEvolve can help you understand the pattern. If possible, install Tableau and Informatica on your personal laptop and practice. Go through the topics and try to solve as many practice questions as possible. Speed is important, so consistent practice will help.

Exam Pattern
Articulation – 40 MCQs / 1 hour
Business Skill – 40 MCQs / 1 hour
Tech Track – 40 MCQs / 1 hour (20 from Tableau and 20 from Informatica & Data Warehouse)
Tech Track Hands-on – Informatica (3–4 tasks) and Tableau (3–4 tasks) – 90 minutes

This exam can be highly unpredictable. The goal is to prepare well and give your best shot. I might be wrong in some aspects, so do your own checks and prepare accordingly.

🛠 Hands-on – Nov 2025
Tableau (3 Tasks)
Tasks were simple, but each had 7–8 steps.
Heavy use of calculated fields.
One tricky step:
Required counting total employees
But No column like emp_id / emp_name available so solution is mentioned below
Solution: COUNT(*)
Charts used:
Bar chart
Area chart
Side-by-side chart i don’t remember exactly for third chart but mostly it was basic chart

Informatica (4 Tasks)
Task 1: Data cleaning
Remove null values
Remove duplicates
Task 2, 3 & 4 (similar pattern):
Drag source table
Use Expression Transformation (6–8 steps)
Use Aggregator Transformation (6–8 steps)
Load aggregated data into target table
➡️ Steps were easy but lengthy, time management is important.

✅ Recommendations
❌ Don’t rely on Yash Mirage MCQ PDF
Many questions are incorrect
Not helpful for actual exam
✅ Use:
Tableau by Barra (Udemy / YouTube)
NIC IT Academy (Informatica)
✅ Create your own MCQs using ChatGPT
✅ Cover latest topics (especially Tableau AI)
📌 MCQs are unpredictable, so focus more on concepts than memorization.

Please be informed that the Learnship Baselining Assessment (Course ID: 74730), which was one of the three available learning paths for the Wings1 Articulation track, has been discontinued.

You may continue your Articulation journey through either of the two remaining paths:
Path 1: Direct Assessment (Course ID: 58755) – 3 attempts
Path 2: Coursework WBT (Course ID: 55103) + Completion Assessment (Course ID: 56148) – 6 attempts

If you have already completed the learning for Articulation track, rest assured—your completion will still be considered.

Please plan accordingly and ensure that the learning for the articulation track is completed by 10th April as this is the learning cut-off date for the June 2026 cycle.

GenAI E1 competency is mandatory to be eligible for this cycle.

It is not mandatory to complete competency 6618 exclusively through the Wings path. You may complete it through any available learning path. However, completing it via the Wings path is strongly recommended, as it provides comprehensive coverage of GenAI topics that directly align with the Wings1 Core Tech Tracks.

In addition to completing the learning of the track that you have registered for, it is mandatory to acquire the Gen AI competency (Competency ID: 6618 - E1) to be eligible for technology tracks.

For those who are preparing for t13 track, my advice would be to start watching these Udemy courses and understand the concepts clearly.

Take a note and pen. Write down the things which you feel are useful.
