As you work hard, build your crew, your ship and begin to head out to sea.

Take good notes of all the men around you.

Abandon the envious at first sign.

Abandon the lazy, leave them behind.

Bring the hard-working, the disciplined, the men with honor.

Bring the grateful.

With the right men around you, no sea is too stormy, no goal too great.

Take your wins and build on them.

Emulation and Victory


As a man.

You have to find somebody you want to emulate - at least partially.

You don’t copy that person exactly, you pick and choose the traits you want.

Absorb from different men and build your ideal self.

It’s your job to convince them to teach you.

And once you find good people to learn from?

You're able to quickly change the person you are.

That's what I did when I was coming up.

From my father, I was instilled with a mindset of excellence.

And over the years I learned from others.

The result?

I've got a mind of iron.

I'm in top physical condition.

Rich man all while still young.

I am now a great man.

If your friends don't demand excellence from you.

And if you have nobody around you who's at a higher level.

It's mathematically impossible for you to fully develop.

It would be like me putting you in a boxing gym run by bicyclists.

You'd have zero proper training.

They don't have the qualities that make a good boxer, they can't even throw a punch.

How are they going to teach you anything about boxing?

On the other hand, if you've got people to emulate?

You'll learn quickly.

Your coaches will let you know what’s important to focus on.

What exercises helped them,

What fundamentals to focus on.

You'll grow QUICKLY into a good boxer.

If you want to get anywhere in life.

Finding the right mentors and friends is crucial.

If you're looking to get rich?

With the right friends, you'll talk about what you're working on.

Day in and day out.

Working together and learning better approaches.

And with your mentors, you'll skip the errors and go straight to the top.

Find someone who's done it before you to emulate.

It's the fastest way.

It appears to me that if I concentrate on happy ideas, no one can make me sad. After all, I am the best that I've ever seen!! So are you.
