How does a person become a leader? How does a person rise above the rest of the crowd? How does he convert his will to serve, to an opportunity to serve by wielding the necessary power?

He steps up and faces the crowd. He answers the difficult questions. He realises his mistakes and improves himself.
Any one can put together a list of points and call it a manifesto. But, do they have what it takes to be a leader? Do they have what it takes to deliver?
Come join us in this journey to witness students become leaders.

Come find out, this Soapbox 2021!

The day 1 of SoapBox was a great success with the Presidential Discussions going over 3 hours long!

Missed it? Don't worry, we got you!
See your candidates put on display their best foot forward. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2xv3cKX4G7W59ZZFXH-KzrZHw2iaZGPq

Make your vote an educated one.
After 10 hours of intense discussions, debates, and tons of constructive criticisms, the seventh edition of SoapBox might have come to a fulfilling end, but the seeds of ideas have been planted. And an idea is like a virus, resilient, highly contagious. It doesn't matter if the individual candidate wins or loses, as a great idea will take root and grow in people's minds irrespective of the person who planted it.

A society grows when great people plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.

Honor these great people who have spent immeasurable time and effort in nurturing these seeds of ideas by casting your precious votes today.

PSA from the Students' Council

The message which you might have seen in today's TOI is factually incorrect. Hostels have not been provided as COVID Care Centres.

NIT administration after negotiations with the local authorities has agreed to give GJCH and Orion for the same.

Please do not panic.
Your personal belongings are safe.

NITT alumni have set up a COVID call center that helps COVID patients get the necessary support, including oxygen cylinders, hospital beds, etc.

It is expected to go live from Monday, May11.

Details of this will be posted in all Alumni Groups.

This initiative requires "City champions" to support the call center.

Call Center has a database for the major cities. The City Champions will help update valid information of their respective cities to augment the data already available in the Call Center. In addition, they may be requested to assist on case to case basis by the call center

City champions will have to spend around an hour or so daily for this effort.

If you wish to sign up as a City Champion for your city, please fill this form. - https://forms.gle/vsJjf86VBs1YGsoY6
