Prince of Wales Star Fort, Canada
Too Big, Too Remote, Too Perfect
Tucked against the icy winds of Hudson Bay, the Prince of Wales Fort in Churchill, Manitoba is a star fort that shouldn’t exist—at least not the way we’re told.
Built in the 1700s by the Hudson’s Bay Company to defend the fur trade? Maybe. But why does a tiny outpost need a granite fortress with six-metre-thick walls and a perfect geometric star layout? Why here, in one of the most remote places in Canada?
It never saw a real battle. It was handed over to the French without a shot. And yet, it mirrors the same star fort blueprint we find across Europe, Asia, and beyond—somehow all emerging in the same era, with the same angles, the same precision, and the same mystery.

🇬🇧 The amazing resemblance between the Peruvian Moche and the Viking vessels
The Moche civilization, also known as the Early Chimu or Mochica culture, flourished from approximately 100 to 800 A.D., dominating the northern coast.
In A.D. 793, an attack on the Lindisfarne monastery off the coast of Northumberland in northeastern England marked the beginning of the Viking Age, finishing in 1050.
Although one civilization ended when the other began, there could have been a connection between them, taking these dates for real. The official History tells us that the Vikings reached to North America. They could well have also did to South America, taking into account how good navigators they were, their business ambition and that they reached Africa and Asia.

🇬🇧 A couple tricks that should be known in case of a power outage or if you are on the mountain or beach and you need to light a fire
1. With a muffin tin and some tea candles, you already have several stoves for simmering.
2. And with a flashlight and a sphere filled with water you can light matches or a bonfire. You need suspended particles, which can be either dirt dust or sand, ash, etc. to find the point where the light beams are concentrated. In bazaars they sell transparent sphere-shaped sprayers at very economical prices. It is a good idea to have it filled with water with a little bleach, so it will always be ready to use and the water will remain crystal clear. Having a baggie with some of that powder is also convenient. It usually happens that the matches get wet, the lighters get lost, etc. With this you can get out of the way and avoid getting cold. You never know...

🇬🇧 The Spiralist Who Watched the Body Turn
James Bell Pettigrew spent his life studying movement. Not in theory, but in detail—how birds flew, how fish swam, how the heart twisted as it beat. What he found, again and again, was that life did not move in straight lines. It turned. Always in spirals.
He mapped the fibers of the heart and found them coiled. He watched flight and saw that wings did not flap—they described curves through air. Even the arteries followed this logic, winding through the body with quiet precision. The spiral, to Pettigrew, wasn’t decoration. It was the form that life chose when it needed to move with power and grace.
He published volumes of observations, filled with illustrations that captured what machines still struggle to imitate. He wasn’t reaching for mysticism. He was writing down what he saw, and what he saw was this: the living world turns.

🇦🇺 A unique panorama of St. Petersburg Year 1861.
160 years ago, an unknown photographer took a 360-degree panoramic photo of the city from the Admiralty Tower.
Until recently, the only copy was kept in the library of the Marble Palace. In 2011, a LiveJournal user published a doctored version of the panorama. Looking at the old footage, it is clear that the Palace Bridge is still a floating bridge, the Admiralty Embankment has not been rebuilt and the Rumyantsev Garden does not exist.
Incredible and mysterious, isn't it?

But we know better, because there was no Middle Ages, there was only the Old World!
The truth is that these are the remains of the last three days of darkness! In the photos of the deserted cities, one can see that the street level has already been raised and one can clearly see the signs of the flooding caused by the mud.
This means that the mud flooding must have happened before dark!
