- Nature : Trilateral coast guard exercise involving India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives.
β Biennial exercise to enhance cooperation and interoperability.
β First conducted in 1991 between the Indian and Maldives Coast Guards.
β Sri Lanka joined later in 2012.
- Recent Conduct : Last held in 2021,
- Focus : To deepen collaboration and coordination among participating coast guards, fostering a more secure maritime environment in the region.
- Objectives :
β Strengthen friendship and mutual trust among participating nations.
β Enhance operational capabilities and interoperability.
β Build cooperation in maritime security and disaster response.
β India deploying assets including ICGS Samarth (with integral helo), ICGS Abhinav, and ICG Dornier aircraft.
