There's a lot of chatter going on in this group. So sometimes you might miss something which I want to broadcast to everyone.
That's why you should subscribe to the page of this group where only I can post.
Pin the page in Telegram. Keep checking that one for important announcements.
I don't want all of you to go through 1000 messages here everyday. Your time is precious, you should code more.

Q. How will I know that my registration is successful? Am I in first 50?
A. You used Github to raise a request. Beautiful part about Github is it sends notifications and emails when your PR is merged. Keep an eye on it.
You may ask why we're doing it this way, coz this is how things work in real life. You raise request and you wait for review and merge notifications.

Q. How will I know if there are problems in my registration PR?
A. We'll comment on your pull request. You will receive a notification and email (check that your email is turned ON from Github) that there has been an activity. Check the comments and correct what was wrong. Make the PR ready and we'll merge it.
This is the reason we're doing 50 at a time.

Now when the mentors are coming in. To make sure that you get mentor for a review here's the process.
There's no 1:1 mentorship.
You can use someone from the pool of mentors on need basis.
What are the needs?
1. I completed one part of my challenge i.e. one project or one blog and I would like to get a review.
2. I am starting with this idea and need some technical guidance on which language/library/framework to choose.
For case 2 make sure that a similar request is not raised. If there is a similar request please join that discussion.
Now, for both the requests you can create an issue on the repo. We'll use Github for everything.
Go ahead and create issue here:
https://github.com/tanaypratap/teamtanay.jobchallenge.dev/issues/new
Notes:
Put better header than "need help"
Also, be as descriptive as possible. It will help the right mentor pick that issue.
We have a mentor's group where we'll pick from the open issues.
Be subscribed to Github updates.
Summary: Open issues on Github to get help. Use mentor's time well. We don't have infinite supply.
Reminder: Follow this page for official updates as the chatter on the group is only going to increase.

Attention #jobChallenge participants.
The chatter on Telegram group has increased a lot and it is hard to keep up with all the chat.
We need to go into a threaded model. Where we can discuss each item individually.
Therefore, if you have any doubts/questions/guidance requirements regarding the jobChallenge please raise an issue here
https://github.com/tanaypratap/teamtanay.jobchallenge.dev/issues/new
Do give proper heading and description.
All mentors will be able to help you better. Also, this will become a knowledge base for incoming participants.
I encourage admins to enforce this rule and ask people to put issue for guidelines and mentorship instead of asking all questions here.
Make sure the questions you post are related to jobChallenge.

Our jobChallenge mentor, Ameer, did a great YT session on "Kickstarting your open source journey".
I joined it and loved it throughout. He has covered everything considering beginners in mind.
You can see the session here

Two notes:
1. Follow this page to not miss any important announcement.
2. Do subscribe to Ameer's channel. He's too shy to ask you that. But he's doing a great job for all of us and that's the minimum we can do to to thank him. 😊😊
