As shared online: A blogger called the FBI Director a "googly-eyed Kremlin b—." Kash Patel sued him for $10 million. A federal judge just threw the case out. The insult is now quoted in the ruling.

It gets better. Patel had already won this case once.

For two years, blogger Jim Stewartson had been posting on X and Substack that Patel was a "Kremlin asset," a "blatantly incompetent chud," and had helped plan January 6.

In June 2023, Patel, then a podcast-circuit Trump loyalist, sued him in Nevada.

Stewartson ignored the lawsuit. So in August 2025, the court handed Patel a default judgment worth a quarter of a million dollars. He was a winner. On paper.

Then Stewartson finally showed up in court with one argument: wrong state.

He lives in California. His posts were aimed at a national audience. Tagging Patel, who happens to live in Nevada, doesn't make a tweet Nevada's business.

Chief Judge Andrew Gordon agreed.
