Some might have noticed that our site Syria News (https://syrianews.cc) had been down for the past 2 days. We were under a serious DDoS attack overwhelming one of our server's port, no matter how we blocked the 2 IP addresses attacking the port, they keep on coming.

Our host suggested to reinstall the entire server which we did and each time we reach the production level, the attacks start again.

We regret to inform you that the 2 IP addresses are located in a supposed to be friendly country to Syria, we do not know whether it's run by a specific agency within that country or it's been rerouted from 3rd country after hacking those IP addresses and using them as access points!

The site's data is safe, we have set up the server from scratch for at least 15 times since the attacks started, we hope soon this will be resolved.

Unfortunately, we do not have the means to hire specialists to mitigate this issue, it's after all managed by 2 people only and neither is a tech savvy in any way, at least not to the needed level, and we cannot trust outside technicians to have access to our server.

We are still available on all the other platforms, including this one, and pages and accounts on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, BitChute, Rumble, Blogger, WordPress blog, Hive, Steemit, Blurt, Tumblr, Pinterest, to name a few.
