Snapshot Replication 7.0.0-0273 (Beta)

1. Introduces Advanced LUN, a Btrfs-based LUN type that creates and restores snapshots in seconds. Available on DSM 6.2 and above.
2. Added the snapshot calculator to provide a graphical representation of storage consumption by snapshots in a given period of time. Available on DSM 6.2 and above.
3. Encrypted shared folders now support clone and test failover. Available on DSM 6.2 and above.
4. Fixed an issue where local replication might fail after the destination shared folder was renamed.
5. Fixed an issue where snapshots could not be deleted when the volume was full.
6. Fixed an issue where the size of unsynced data in encrypted shared folders could not be calculated.
7. Added support for Replication Service.
8. This package will support DS418 in mid-October. Users with DS418 may directly download it in Package Center when the package becomes available.

Compatibility & Installation
1. Migration Assistant should be installed on the device where data is to be migrated to.
2. Migration Assistant is compatible with DSM 6.2.2 and above.

What's New
1. Supports migrating data, system settings, and packages.
2. Supports migrating from Synology NAS with DSM 6.0 and above.
3. During migration, service on the source server is continuous, which maximizes the system uptime.

Limitation
1. DSM version on the target server will remain unchanged after migration.
2. After migration, updating packages on the target device may be required to ensure they will work properly.
3. Does not support migrating settings related to Synology Account and licenses of packages and services.
4. Does not support migrating IP, server name, and certain network settings.
5. Does not support Synology High Availability, SSD cache, MailPlus cluster and Time Backup.

Fixed Issues
1. Fixed an issue where some services (e.g. Directory Server for Windows Domain, etc) may not work properly on the target server after migration.
2. Fixed an issue where the migration will fail if the volume capacity on the source server is larger than 20TB.

2. Added support for VMware vSphere 7.0.0
3. Added support for compression and encryption settings for personal computers, physical servers, and virtual machines at the backup destination.
4. Supports migrating instantly restored virtual machines on Virtual Machine Manager to VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
5. Users can now back up a maximum of 50 devices (personal computers, physical servers, and virtual machines) concurrently. The actual number varies by RAM capacity:

• Backup verification

Limitations
1. When you click Notifications > Show All on your desktop right after the update, you will only be able to see the 500 recent notifications. However, this won't occur for future notifications.
2. DSM 7.0 no longer supports sending push notifications via Synology’s email server. To set up email notifications, go to Control Panel > Notification > Email.
3. DDSM is incompatible with DSM 7.0. To continue using DDSM, you should retain the current DSM version. To update to DSM 7.0, please delete DDSM first.
4. The "Shut down UPS when the system enters Standby Mode" function is only available on Omron UPS.
5. The AFP service is disabled by default after a clean installation.
6. After the update, if your Synology NAS is a managed server in Central Management System, the CMS host must run DSM 6.2.4 or above and CMS 2.1.4 to be able to manage important DSM updates and package updates on your device.
7. Central Management System no longer supports managing Synology NAS with DSM version earlier than DSM 6.2. Please update all managed servers to DSM 6.2 or above first. Managed servers that are unable to update to DSM 6.2 should be disjoined from the CMS host before the update.
