The Solemnity of All Saints, or All Saints Day, is a Holy Day of Obligation. Here are our Mass timings for the day and for the following day for the Feast of All Souls.
Weekend Advent Retreat: “What Child Is This" (29 November to 1 December) - An Advent retreat for those who are same-sex attracted or identify as LGBTQ. A quiet and safe space for prayer, reflection and conversations on Advent. This stay-in retreat invites you to prepare your hearts and minds for Christmas. Mass, eucharistic adoration, confession and spiritual direction will be available. The retreat will be facilitated by Fr Adrian Danker and Lance Ng.
In view of All Saints’ Day, there will not be Holy Hour in November.
Today we honour those holy men and women who have gone before us in faith and have done so in a glorious way.  Let us offer up a prayer on this occasion:
“Almighty ever-living God, by whose gift we venerate in one celebration the merits of all the Saints, bestow on us, we pray, through the prayers of so many intercessors, an abundance of the reconciliation with you for which we earnestly long. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.”
Officially known as the “Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed,” All Souls’ Day is a day to celebrate, honour and pray for our loved ones who have died to rest peacefully with God. Let us offer up a prayer together for them. You can also pray consider praying the Rosary, Divine Mercy Chaplet, or even beginning a novena in your own time.

“Listen kindly to our prayers, O Lord, and, as our faith in your Son, raised from the dead, is deepened, so may our hope of resurrection for your departed servants also find new strength. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.”
This month’s issue of Song for Vincent starts with a feature recap on the 61st Feast Day celebrations held in September. What a talent-filled, and talent-fueled, occasion it was… This issue also delves into the world of Saints as venerated by the Catholic Church, tied to the occasion of All Saints’ Day at the start of November. Don’t miss out on the amazing photos of our Catechism kids dressed as their favourite saints – an inspiration to us all… Happy reading! https://bit.ly/sfvoct2024
Oh, when the Saints go marching in... On 26th October, the children from the Level 1 and Level 2 Catechism sessions got dressed up as their favourite Saint or Holy person from the Bible and attended a special session to learn more about this important Feast of the church. We congratulate Fr Paul Lim on his 40th Sacerdotal Anniversary as a priest on 4th November 2024. The priestly ordination, is like a marriage. The priest marries into the Church, just as Christ takes the Church as his bride. In the words of Pope Francis, “Being a priest is not a job or fulfilling an employment contract but is a gift from God that should be contemplated and treasured as such.” We pray for Fr Paul to continue his ministry with grace and that he be touched by God’s healing hand always.
Some excitement around the corner - Paul J Kim is coming to Singapore!  Google him if you have not heard of him - PJK has a rare gift of witnessing to his faith in his own funny, special, impactful way.  He will witness to us - one day onlyon Saturday 16th November 2024 at Church of St Anne @ 10 am and at Church of St Mary of the Angels @ 8 pm.
