Syrian Civil War [28/4/2025]: 🇸🇾
After an audio message in which an alleged Druze cleric blasphemed, tensions between sectarian groups and Druze increased. At the University of Homs, Druze students were intimidated and attacked, causing several injuries. Meanwhile, at Damascus University, Druze students evacuated the campus and left for Suwayda during the last hours.

Tensions erupted on Monday with clashes in the towns of Jaramana and Sahnaya between security forces and terrorist groups on the one hand, and Druze militias on the other. After several hours of fighting the local militias repelled the attacks and secured full control of both towns.🇸🇾

During the last few hours the Druze have been sending reinforcements to Jaramana while the terrorist groups are doing the same from the north promising a massacre similar to the one of the Syrian coast at the beginning of March. This is taking place in an internal conflict where troops loyal to Defense Minister Murhaf Abu Qasra are trying to impose themselves on the authority of Interior Minister Anas Khattab, who is trying to reduce tensions.🇸🇾

Situation on Kursk front: Russian Army made new advances west & northwest of Gornal along the border between Ukraine & Russia. In addition, during the last five days Russian forces reentered in Loknya & captured several positions in the oblast of Sumy thus entering in the locality of Bilovody & secured the border crossing of Sudzhansky Raion.

Negotiations between the transitional government and the Druze sheikhs seem to be yielding good results, a truce is expected in Jaramana.🇸🇾

Situation north of Donetsk: During the last 48 hours Russian Army made new advances north & northeast of Novomykhailivka. In addition, Russian forces developed the encirclement of Nove from north & south & began taking control over the locality as Ukrainian Army began the withdrawal from it.

The chances of a massacre against the Druze minority are very high right now. We are likely to see more displacement of civilians from Damascus city to the Druze militia-controlled areas in the next hours & days. The difference between the Alawites and the Druze is that the Druze keep their weapons and are able to resist. However, this may lead to a confrontation of greater proportions (calling of Jihad against "the infidels") than the few battles that took place between the opposition insurgence and the terrorists on the coast.🇸🇾

After the recapture of the last forested areas along the Russian-Ukrainian border we can say that the battle for Kursk that began last summer is over. The area south of Gornal and the locality of Otruba are areas which administratively belong to the Kursk oblast but whose position on the other side of the Psel and Seim rivers respectively make them indefensible, these rivers being a natural barrier and a more suitable line of position. Therefore the next publication of the Kursk front will be the last, and then we will begin to speak of the Sumy front.
