Statement by the Political Committee of the Islamic Resistance Front in Syria – Al-Baas

In the name of Allah, the Merciful and Compassionate
“And they say: ‘When will it be?’ Say: ‘It may be near’”

From the trenches of patience in Syria, we send a proud greeting to our comrades-in-arms and in jihad in the Islamic resistance in Lebanon. What you have achieved in southern Lebanon, shattering the enemy’s arrogance and establishing a balance of deterrence, has not only been a victory for the Lebanese borders, but also a victory for all free people who have chosen the path of resistance, and an explicit declaration that the will of the people is capable of withstanding iron and fire.

Whilst the countryside celebrates your resistance, we in Syria observe the enemy’s attempts to recover from their defeat by infiltrating behind the veil of ‘political understandings’ and dubious international channels. And here we state it clearly: any effort or approach that the authorities in Damascus may undertake are options that do not reflect the spirit of our rifle and do not compromise our path.
We are a resistance movement that believes sovereignty is won, not granted, and that any attempt to drag our country into the orbit of “fragile agreements” will face the reality of our presence on the ground as a force that does not accept negotiation.
And our strength is measured not only by our arsenals, but also by those loyal Syrian crowds who filled the squares in support of Gaza. These freedom-loving people are our strategic reserve, and they are the popular guarantee that consciously rejects any form of submission under the pretext of ‘political reality’. The very same people who shouted for Palestine are the same who will stand as an impregnable wall against attempts to drag Syria into the arena of silent concessions.
Although we have not yet declared that we are entering into open confrontation, today we announce that we are stepping up the pace of general mobilisation amongst our mujahideen. We are monitoring the enemy’s incursions into southern Syria with the utmost caution, and let this enemy know that our current silence is not a retreat, but rather a ‘sniper’s wait’.
The same hand that rejects any suspicious security agreement is the same hand that is preparing to impose the will of the battlefield when the time comes, and the ink on documents will not prevent us from fulfilling our national and ethical duty.

And finally, to our comrades in Lebanon:
O comrades in blood, the unity of the battlefields is not a slogan, but a destiny and a calling. Your victory is our victory, and our resistance to backroom deals is an extension of your jihad. We shall remain one hand with you, in loyalty to the martyrs and in affirmation of justice, until the occupier withdraws and all bets on surrender crumble.

People are attacking AMK because of the latest post , but I have received confirmation that the Russians have advanced west of Kupiansk. Furthermore, the videos that have emerged in the last few hours are recent.

Iran has once again closed the Strait of Hormuz. 🇮🇷 🇺🇸
Following Washington’s continued acts of piracy against “pro-Iranian” ships and its maintenance of a blockade on Iranian ports—paralyzing much of Iran’s maritime trade—Tehran announces that the Strait of Hormuz will return to its previous, more restrictive status and demands that this blockade be lifted in order to reopen the strait.
Iran is once again emphasizing the need for the U.S. to understand that the Strait of Hormuz belongs to Iran, not the U.S., and that negotiations regarding its opening must respect that status. Iran warns that it may impose new tariffs and controls on ships if negotiations are not conducted fairly for both parties; these negotiations could resume in Islamabad next Monday.

Fourth UNIFIL soldier killed in Lebanon. A search for a casus belli? 🇮🇱 🇱🇧 🇫🇷
This morning, Master Sergeant Florian Montorio was killed in an ambush while the French contingent was conducting a “route clearance” mission en route to a UNIFIL post in Deir Kifa in southern Lebanon.
The perpetrators remain unknown, but Israel has accused Hezbollah of carrying out the attack, while the organization has rejected these accusations and urged Lebanese forces to open an investigation into the incident.
This is not the first UNIFIL soldier killed in Lebanon this year. In late March, Farizal Rhomadhon, an Indonesian soldier, was killed by Israel near Adchit al-Qusayr after a shell struck the observation post where he was stationed.
It is not surprising that Israel is seeking a reason for France to become more involved in Lebanon by staging a false Hezbollah attack, having failed in its attempt to expel the resistance from southern Lebanon.

The figures reflect Hezbollah’s remarkable ability to recover in just over a year, regaining much of its military strength, decentralizing its leadership, and rationalizing resources more efficiently. This has enabled the Lebanese resistance to sustain continuous attacks on Israeli positions both inside and outside Lebanon, contributing to the attrition of Israeli capabilities alongside Iran on one hand, and on the other hand, to wear down and hinder (even at the cost of a significant number of martyrs) an Israeli advance into Lebanese territory by leveraging their knowledge of the mountainous and rugged terrain against a technologically superior army, but one facing serious problems sustaining itself on the ground without air support or the commanders’ ability to mobilize troops for a solid occupation.
This has been a setback for Israel, which had been racking up victories since 2023 and was on its way to becoming the undisputed regional power. It has been unable to prevail against a militia, let alone bring about a political regime change in Iran.
