The usual launch time for a new government website is 1-2 years, but we did it in 67 days and identified more than $400k in savings to the American taxpayer.

Opportunity Zones have spurred over $80 Billion of private investment in just 5 years, while lifting 1 million people out of poverty.

This is not only about economic development – it’s about community development and a brighter tomorrow.

Today was a full circle moment for me and the whole HUD team as we unveiled former HUD Secretary Dr. Ben Carson’s official portrait.

This man is a mentor to myself, a true leader to the Department, and a great American patriot.

I will continue to advance the America First policies started at HUD in the first Trump Administration under Dr. Carson.

Since 1979, manufacturing hubs across America have decayed as jobs were shipped overseas.
