Meeting with the new president of Inha University in Korea 🇰🇷

As part of his official visit to the Republic of Korea, Bobur Abdullaev, Rector of Inha University in Tashkent, held a meeting with Professor Choi Kee-young, the newly appointed president of Inha University in Korea, and extended his sincere congratulations on his appointment.

The meeting addressed the key priorities and prospects for cooperation over the next five years, with particular attention to strengthening academic and institutional ties, expanding student and faculty exchange programmes, and advancing new joint educational and research initiatives 🤝

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Inha University in Tashkent and Inha University in Korea and to exploring new opportunities for long-term cooperation.

Xususan, akademik va institutsional aloqalarni yanada mustahkamlash, talabalar va professor-o‘qituvchilar almashinuv dasturlarini kengaytirish, shuningdek, yangi qo‘shma ta’lim va ilmiy-tadqiqot loyihalarini rivojlantirish masalalariga alohida e’tibor qaratildi 🤝

Tomonlar Toshkent shahridagi Inha Universiteti va Janubiy Koreyadagi Inha Universiteti o‘rtasidagi strategik hamkorlikni yanada rivojlantirish hamda uzoq muddatli hamkorlikning yangi yo‘nalishlarini yo‘lga qo‘yishga sodiqligini bildirdi.

Встреча с новым президентом Университета Инха в Корее 🇰🇷

В рамках официального визита в Республику Корея ректор Университета Инха в Ташкенте Бобур Абдуллаев провёл встречу с профессором Чхве Ки Ёном, недавно назначенным президентом Университета Инха в Корее, и выразил ему искренние поздравления с назначением на новую должность.

В ходе встречи были рассмотрены основные направления и перспективы сотрудничества на ближайшие пять лет, включая дальнейшее укрепление академических и институциональных связей, расширение программ обмена студентами и профессорско-преподавательским составом, а также развитие новых совместных образовательных и научно-исследовательских проектов 🤝

Стороны подтвердили приверженность дальнейшему укреплению стратегического партнёрства между Университетом Инха в Ташкенте и Университетом Инха в Корее, а также развитию новых направлений долгосрочного сотрудничества.

❤️‍🔥 Become a Yandex Uzbekistan Ambassador at Inha!

Yandex Uzbekistan invites students at Inha University in Tashkent who are in their second year or above to apply for the University Ambassador Program. Students from any field of study are welcome.

As an ambassador, you’ll:

1️⃣  Take part in Yandex Uzbekistan projects and events;

2️⃣ Launch initiatives at your university with support from our team;

3️⃣ Create content about Yandex technologies and opportunities;

4️⃣ Develop the student IT community and connect with ambassadors from other universities.

The program begins with online lectures from IT experts and a three-day in-person stage at the Yandex Uzbekistan office. It will run until the end of the academic year and conclude with a graduation event.

We’re looking for students who love their university and are ready to dedicate around five hours a week to the program.

How prepared are young women to navigate the opportunities of artificial intelligence and the digital environment, while protecting themselves from and managing existing digital risks?

As part of the “Capacity Building in AI Literacy and Cybersecurity for Girls” project, an event will be held with the support of UNOPS, IT Education Association, and the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and funded through the European Union’s Global Gateway initiative. The event aims to strengthen artificial intelligence literacy, cybersecurity, and digital safety skills among girls and young women.

Key areas:
👉 Safe, ethical and responsible use of artificial intelligence
👉 Digital and cybersecurity
👉 Data literacy and misinformation detection
👉 Artificial intelligence tools for social good and civic engagement
👉 Digital resilience and responsible use of technology
👉 Opportunities for women in technology and digital careers


The programme will include interactive sessions, practical activities and expert-led discussions, equipping participants with relevant knowledge and practical skills for navigating today’s digital environment.

👩‍💻 Girls and young women interested in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, technology and digital transformation are invited to participate.

🚭 DEAR STUDENTS!

Please be reminded that all students are required to comply with the requirements established by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding the use of tobacco and nicotine-containing products, as well as the University’s internal regulations.

🚬 Conventional cigarettes and other tobacco products may only be used in specially designated smoking areas.

❗️ Smoking is strictly prohibited in corridors, classrooms, restrooms, staircases, student dormitories, and other areas or facilities where smoking is prohibited.

Important: These requirements do not apply only to conventional cigarettes. The following products and devices are also subject to the restrictions and prohibitions established by law:

🚬 Conventional cigarettes and other tobacco products;
💨 Electronic cigarettes and vapes;
🔥 Tobacco-heating systems such as IQOS, Glo, and Ploom, as well as similar devices;
🧪 Other nicotine-containing products.

In accordance with Law No. O‘RQ-844 of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 24, 2023, “On Restricting the Distribution and Consumption of Alcohol and Tobacco Products,” the circulation of electronic nicotine delivery systems in Uzbekistan, including electronic cigarettes and liquids intended for them, is prohibited.

⚖️ The legislation provides for administrative and criminal liability for the illegal circulation of prohibited tobacco and nicotine products. Depending on the nature of the violation, penalties may include fines, confiscation of the relevant products, and other measures предусмотрed by law.

Administrative liability includes:

1. Illegal circulation of tobacco-heating systems, such as IQOS, Glo, and Ploom, may result in confiscation of the relevant products and a fine of 50 to 100 times the Basic Calculation Value (BCV/BHM).

2. The production, purchase, storage, transportation, sale, import into, or export from Uzbekistan of prohibited tobacco products and electronic nicotine delivery systems, including electronic cigarettes, may result in confiscation of the relevant products and a fine of 100 to 200 times the Basic Calculation Value (BCV/BHM).

3. The purchase or possession of prohibited tobacco products and electronic nicotine delivery systems, including electronic cigarettes, in an amount not exceeding one Basic Calculation Value (BCV/BHM) may result in confiscation of the relevant products and a fine equal to one BCV/BHM.

If the above-mentioned violations are committed repeatedly within one year after an administrative penalty has been imposed, the relevant products may be confiscated and a fine of 2 to 5 times the Basic Calculation Value (BCV/BHM) may be imposed.

📌 Please remember: If you smoke, use only specially designated smoking areas and strictly comply with the requirements of the legislation and the University’s internal regulations.

📌 Prevention — An Important Factor in Youth Safety

On September 10, 2026, a preventive awareness event dedicated to the prevention of drug abuse, terrorism, and extremism among young people was held at Inha University in Tashkent for first-year students.

The event was attended by officers from the Mirzo Ulugbek District Internal Affairs Department: Lieutenant Colonel S.A. Tajidinov, an officer of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Internal Affairs Department; Major Molashxiya Tamara Yuryevna, Senior Inspector of the Group for Organizing Prevention among Minors and Youth; and Senior Lieutenant Kurbanova Zarina Abdumuminovna, Inspector of the Group for Organizing Prevention among Minors and Youth.

The event was conducted in the form of an open dialogue. The specialists discussed with students the real risks associated with drug use, as well as the consequences of the spread of ideas related to terrorism and extremism. Students actively participated in the discussion, asked questions of interest, and received detailed answers from the specialists.

Preventive video materials highlighting the activities of internal affairs officers in identifying drug-related crimes, apprehending and exposing individuals involved in such crimes were also shown. In addition, videos highlighting the negative impact of terrorism and extremism on human life and society were presented.

🤝 The meeting was held in an open and friendly atmosphere. Students showed great interest in the topics discussed and actively engaged in dialogue with the specialists.
