19 октября я принял участие в XI Кубке первокурсников по «Что? Где? Когда?». В моей команде были однокурсники с факультета фундаментальной медицины, и вместе мы провели незабываемый вечер, полный интеллектуальных вызовов и командного духа. Мы гордимся тем, что заняли 4-е место среди 86 команд с различных факультетов университета! Это событие позволило нам проверить свои знания, а также укрепить нашу дружбу и навыки сотрудничества. С нетерпением жду будущих турниров и новых побед!
On October 19, I took part in the XI «What? Where? When?» Freshmen Cup. My team included fellow students from the Faculty of Fundamental Medicine, and together we had an unforgettable evening full of intellectual challenges and team spirit. We are proud that we took the 4th place among 86 teams from different faculties of the university! This event allowed us to test our knowledge as well as strengthen our friendship and cooperation skills. I look forward to future tournaments and new victories!

Today, January 25, Lomonosov Moscow State University is celebrating 270 years since its foundation.
On January 25, 1755 (January 12, the Feast of St. Tatiana according to the Orthodox calendar), Empress Elizabeth Petrovna signed a decree on the establishment of Moscow University — the first in Russia. This day is considered the official date of the foundation of Moscow State University and St. Tatiana is now honored as the patroness of education, students and all those who feel that they belong to the university community.
The establishment of the university in Moscow was largely due to the activities of the encyclopedist Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov and his associate, the first curator of the university, Count Ivan Ivanovich Shuvalov.
Initially, education was conducted in three faculties: philosophical, medical and legal.
In Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov more than 45 thousand people from all regions of the country study (in various forms of education). MSU has 43 faculties (21 faculties were created in the last 20 years), 15 research institutes, about 750 chairs, departments and laboratories, Medical Research and Education Center, Scientific Library, 4 museums, Botanical Garden, Science Park, 7 branches.

During my winter break, I had the opportunity to spend a month enhancing my lab skills in the Experimental Embryology Laboratory under the guidance of Denis Vladimirovich Rebrikov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Vice-Rector for Research at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University.
The laboratory focuses on the development of gene therapy drugs. During my time there, I learned techniques for isolating and purifying plasmid DNA, performing restriction analysis of plasmids, conducting electrophoresis, and running PCR.
I am very grateful to the lab staff for their warm welcome and mentorship.

I’m excited to share that I had a very productive winter break after finishing my first semester. Over the course of a month, I had the opportunity to develop new lab skills in the Cellular Mechanisms Laboratory at my university under the guidance of Andrey Alexandrovich Zamyatnin, Doctor of Biological Sciences and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics at Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The lab focuses on studying the molecular mechanisms of cells. During my time there, I gained hands-on experience in working with eukaryotic cells, including subculturing, passaging, freezing, transfection, and performing the MTT assay.
I’m incredibly grateful to the lab staff for their warm welcome and mentorship throughout this experience.

As part of a team with colleagues from Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University and Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) — MIPT, Phystech, I participated in the «Young Solutions for BIOMEDTECH» case competition in Skolkovo in The Moscow International Medical Cluster (MIMC). We had a unique opportunity to demonstrate our analytical and teamwork skills while working on current tasks in the field of biomedical technologies. The result of our project «Application for automated search of adverse drug reactions» was a poster presentation at the case championship site.

Lomonosov Moscow State University offers students a unique opportunity to broaden their academic horizons by enrolling in interfaculty courses, which are conducted by various faculties over the course of a semester. During this semester, I have selected two such courses: «Bioinformatics» and «Sensory and Motor Systems of the Brain». The second course is particularly noteworthy, as it is delivered by Vyacheslav Albertovich Dubynin, a distinguished Doctor of Biological Sciences and Professor at the Faculty of Biology. Professor Dubynin is a renowned specialist in the fields of brain physiology and neuropharmacology.

I have been invited to serve as a tutor in the olympiad biology program at a public school in Moscow. The objective of this program is to prepare students for participation in biology olympiads. Having relevant experience in this field, I am pleased to share the necessary knowledge and methods of effective preparation on a weekly basis in my free time from my university studies. This endeavor is poised to serve as a significant inaugural step in my prospective teaching career.
