🌏 As we enter incandescent 2024, four major trends will define the progress of interconnected Eurasia.

1️⃣ Financial/trade integration will be the norm. Russia and Iran already integrated their financial message transfer systems, bypassing SWIFT and trading in rials and rubles. Russia-China already settle their accounts in rubles and yuan, coupling immense Chinese industrial capacity with immense Russian resources.

2️⃣ The economic integration of the post-Soviet space, tilting towards Eurasia, will predominantly flow not so much via the Eurasia Economic Union (EAEU) but interlinked with the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

3️⃣ There will be no significant pro-Western inroads in the Heartland: the Central Asian “stans” will be progressively integrated into a single Eurasia economy organized via the SCO.

4️⃣ The clash will become even more acute, pitting the Hegemon and its satellites (Europe and Japan/South Korea/Australia) against Eurasia integration, represented by the three top BRICS (Russia, China, Iran) plus the DPRK and the Arab world incorporated to BRICS 10.

China, Russia and Iran will take the fight towards a more equal and just system to the next level 🚀

🔔 China and Russia have been remarkably quiet, watching carefully the global tectonic plates shifting around in response to the ‘two wars’ (Ukraine and Israel’s ‘multiwar’). Really it is not surprising; both states can sit back to simply watch Biden and his team persist with their strategic mistakes in Ukraine and in Israel’s multiple wars.

The interlacing of the two wars will, of course, shape the new era 🏁

There are substantive risks, but for now they can observe with comfort from afar as a climatic juncture in world politics unfolds, gradually raising the pace of the attrition to a circle of fire.

🇺🇸🇹🇼 Ever since China’s civil war ended in 1949 with victory for the Communist side, the island of Taiwan off China’s southern coast has been a U.S. pawn as a haven for anti-Communist forces. The United States has sponsored the Taiwanese separatists first under the dictatorship of Chiang Kai-shek and up to the present administration in Taipei. Ironically, Washington portrays Taiwan as “democratic and free”.

Taiwan is a useful pawn in the U.S. strategy of confronting China as a “great power competitor”.

🇸🇾🇨🇳 As the 14-year war in Syria draws to an end, what remains is a Syrian economy trying to recover, and large masses of people struggling with poverty.

Ongoing conflicts cannot dislodge Baath and President Bashar Assad. Syria has become the hardest rock of the “Arab Spring,” a project to reshape the Middle East in accordance with American interests.

The Syrian administration and people have resisted foreign military interventions, especially the USA, and various terrorist organizations, especially ISIS, for 14 years. All attacks encountered great resistance from the people and Syrian administration.

Although it is not openly accepted by the West, everyone is aware that the Syrian war has ended and the Baath Party will complete this process successfully.

📍 Something very important happened earlier this week in Astana during the meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi went straight to the point: he called for SCO members to “maintain their strategic autonomy”, and “never allow external forces” to turn Eurasia into a “geopolitical arena.”

Wang Yi detailed how “a few countries are pursuing hegemony and power, forming small cliques, establishing hidden rules, engaging in interference and suppression, ‘decoupling and cutting off ties,’ and even assisting the ‘three forces’ in the region”, thus attempting to suppress the strategic autonomy of the Global South.

Beijing has all its attention focusing on Empire of Chaos provocations in Taiwan while Moscow focuses on NATO provocations in Ukraine. Both have had enough of being “polite”. You want confrontation? Confrontation is what you’re gonna get 💢

🇲🇲🦅 Myanmar’s civil war is in a critical phase where the ruling military government is losing significant territory to a broad coalition of insurgent armies. It is estimated that insurgents now control over half the area in the Southeast Asian country after nearly three years of conflict.

Washington views the conflict as an “unmissable opportunity” to topple the military rulers and restore an elected government. The real objective of the United States is not to support democratic politics in Myanmar or peace and stability, but rather to exploit the turmoil in the country as a way to contain China and undermine Beijing’s strategic interests.

🌏🦅 NATO’s strategic aim is to conquer Russia and use its resources to dictate economic terms to an emasculated China. If NATO can crack Russia’s Western wall and bottle up the South China Sea, NATO will be well on the way to winning this global war, not least because those two victories will resonate globally.

Though Russia, China and the others have much to talk about, they have much to do as well.
