Some key updates of the day ☺️☺️ Storya is building the "Patreon for Web3", which serves to offer creators the tools to publish and monetize across Web2 and Web3 agnostically, making Storya the first project of its kind within the creator economy space!
Under this creator economy model, creators like yourselves can earn a return on their digital assets and content through decentralized technologies such as blockchain and smart contracts.
Through Web3, creators will have more control over their content and the distribution of their work, as well as to connect directly with their audience and build a sustainable + equitable business model.

Few months before that, Storya.app was just an idea in the mind of a cabin-feverish ex-journalist sitting out the #pandemic in a study room at a new home in Singapore, months after relocating from Hong Kong.
Between freelance editing, #writing gigs, and procrastinating the writing of my next novel, the idea for Storya started coalescing. This was also in no small part thanks to the awesome experience of running the small #publishing consultancy WordRevo with my old friend, amazing author and writing mentor Pascal Abatiello.
Fast forward to the start of 2023 and Storya is so much more:
- A #team of hyper-talented global and #diverse individuals from publishing, creator economy, product, marketing, and software industries in six time zones, three continents
- A #product that, incredibly for the available budget, is at the cutting edge of creative publishing softwares and will increasingly become so as we expand our suite of #AI and #blockchain capabilities
- A #vision that starts from helping disadvantaged creative voices in the emerging markets, giving them the tools to succeed globally, making us a unique project not just in publishing but in the entire creator economy
- The #community: 10,000 people follow us across social media. A third of them are users of our app. Nearly 1,000 are writers from more than a dozen native languages and located worldwide.
