The play opens with the Duke of Illyria, Orsino ,pining away with love for Olivia, a countess whose father died a year ago and her brother has recently died . Olivia has vowed to shut herself away from society for seven years, as a result of these deaths . Meanwhile, a lady named viola is shipwrecked on the coast of Illyria , and fears her twin brother Sebastian. Viola disguises herself as a boy , Cesario, to make her way . While Orsino is obsessed by his love for Olivia,but Olivia when she meets Cesario (viola) , she falls in love and forgets these oaths . However, viola fall in love with Orsino. Viola's twin brother and after he comes back goes to marry Olivia and give a chance to viola to marry Orsino. After all that , When Orsino discovers Cesario is in fact the woman, Viola, and that Olivia has already married Viola's twin brother, he quickly proposes to viola. At the end , viola and Orsino agree to be married. Twelfth Nights ends with Feste singing a song " when that I was and a little tiny boy "

In the play Twelfth Night, Malvolio is a very important character who represents seriousness and rules in a world full of fun and love.
