2024 UPSC Official Key Marked.pdf

2024 UPSC Official Key has been released.

The above document marks the official key in the question paper.

3 questions dropped and still some ambiguities remain. But don't invest your time and energy in resolving the discrepancies.

All the best for your upcoming Prelims exam.
3 questions Dropped from UPSC 2024.
Just a Rant After the Official Answer Key Release: 📢

📖 “Transparency” is a word we see all the time in the Ethics syllabus. It’d be great if UPSC practiced a bit of it too—especially when it comes to answer keys and evaluation.

Every year, many students miss the prelims cutoff by a margin as small as 1 or 2 marks.
Then a few questions get dropped. No explanation. No justification. Nothing.

Now imagine this:
An aspirant attempted all three questions that were later dropped—and got them all right.
She remembered the exact wording of Article 112 and rightly figured that the Union Finance Minister doesn’t present the Budget on behalf of the Prime Minister.
She went through every RBI circular and couldn’t find a single mention of NBFCs under LAF, leading her to logically deduce that the statement is incorrect.
🎯She calculated her score to be around 95—confident, accurate—and still didn’t clear.

Why? Because 4 or 5 questions she answered correctly either got dropped or marked wrong with zero clarity.

In a paper where 1 mark can make or break a year, is it too much to ask for some accountability? Or at least a basic explanation? 🧐

Dear Aspirants,
One last piece of advice as you prepare for tomorrow's test:

Keep things minimal—carry only your admit card, a valid ID proof, and a few black pens.

🚫Avoid bringing bags, as they may not be allowed inside the exam centre—this was the case last year and is clearly mentioned on this year’s admit card as well.

Leave your belongings in your vehicle or a nearby safe place to avoid last-minute problems.

🎯You’ve worked with dedication for this day. Walk into the exam hall with calm, clarity, and confidence.💪.
Stay composed—it’s natural to feel anxious, but don’t let it overwhelm you.

🌟Wishing you all the very best. Success is within your reach.

Regards,
Mohan P.
