Bopanna and his Dutch partner Demi Schuurs were beaten 6-7, 2-6 at the Indian Wells Masters 1000 event on Wednesday night by Babos and Arevalos.

But a slice of history unfolded along the way as this was the 1st time that an Indian had appeared in the mixed doubles event at the prestigious Master 1000 event on the professional circuit 👊

Incidentally, Bopanna had won the men's doubles title at Indian Wells back in 2023 as a 43-year-old and had become the oldest player in history to win an ATP Masters 1000 title at the time.
