Hey Everyone, just a quick note to say the team at Spexigon is growing! I believe we're up to 15 people now and the team has been mostly heads down working hard on the app and getting ready to start testing things.

We've been fairly quiet in here in large part because we're also going through the process of getting legal advice on what we can and cannot talk about. So, rest assured, we are building. And hopefully soon we'll be able to share a lot more details on the project.

We've also been hard at work at documenting how the platform is going to work and our roll out plans. This is all being done behind the scenes. I wish we could say more right now, but there is going to be a period of time (probably the next couple of months) where we won't have a lot to share and then there will come a point where we'll be able to talk far more openly about what it is we're doing week to week.

Just wanted to let you all know we're here, we're working, and we're very eager to share more with you as soon as the time is right.

The “docs” as we’ve been calling them, go into more detail on how we intend the platform to work.

It also includes a few more details on our launch plans and how pilots will interact with the app and discover areas they can fly.

As always feel free to ask questions, and provide feedback & comments.

We’re excited to announce big changes to Spexigon’s documentation to include new details on several important aspects of the project.

One of the biggest changes is an update to the tokenomic system we’re working on, the addition of a points-based reputation system, and the inclusion of a token Workdrop for eligible pilots.

The docs also now include an overview of our launch plan with details on when and where we’ll kick things off.

Hey Everyone, we hit a milestone this week and wanted to share a quick update.

We’ve moved from internal testing of the Spexigon drone imagery platform to trusted user testing.

This is a big step as it’s the first time external drone pilots have been able to fly, capture imagery, and upload it to the platform.

Big News!

We’re excited to announce that Spexigon is launching its next phase of testing and that we’re recruiting 50 local drone pilots ASAP to help.

This will be a paid gig and the first test of the Fly-to-Earn model with pilots of all skill levels.

Pilots who are in our Discord or on our waitlist (1000+ pilots) already received the news and the applications are now coming in.

For those of you who don’t know, a Spexigon is a 22-acre hexagonal zone on a map of Earth that can be flown and imaged with a micro drone using our app.

Here are the details of the test:

Pilots required: 50
Location: Surrey, B.C
Time / Duration: September 15th to October 15th
Area to Cover: 2,215 Spexigons (approximately 48,730 acres)

Yesterday the Spexigon Alpha Test kicked off and over 100 Spexigons were flown by local drone pilots in the Surrey B.C area.

To say our growing community of pilots and our internal team is excited would be an understatement.

Hats off to our dev team on the backend and the local drone pilots making this happen out in the field!

Exciting to see the map get filled in Spexigon by Spexigon in what will be the largest test of this kind, ever.
