A man, 26 from Pembroke, was handed a two- year prison sentence, suspended for four years, after he previously pleaded guilty to buying and publishing child sex abuse material.
The purchase and distribution of content was carried out from the largest pornographic platform worldwide, known as ‘KidFlix’. The man, who cannot be named due to a court order, was arraigned in court on 9 April and subsequently granted bail whilst awaiting sentencing. Upon his arraignment, it was heard how Maltese police received information from German authorities that the man had allegedly bought child sex abuse material and subsequently published it. The convicted man was one of two Maltese men who were arrested as part of “Operation Stream”.

The accused faces two trials at the Alicante Provincial Court related to human trafficking, involving women brought from Romania to Spain for sexual exploitation.

The Public Prosecutor's Office is seeking a total of 84 years and three months in prison for a man accused of leading a criminal network dedicated to human trafficking, many of whom were minors, and of directing another mafia from which he ordered murders from Fontcalent.
The accused will stand trial at the Second Section of the Alicante Provincial Court this Monday, May 5th, to face the charges listed by the Public Prosecutor. According to the prosecution, the accused recruited women in Romania and transported them to Spain, where they were forced and exploited to prostitute themselves under conditions of slavery in various localities in the province of Alicante and other parts of the country. According to the Public Prosecutor, the accused even ordered several members of the gang to murder two people with whom they had unresolved issues.

TAMPA - An undercover operation by Hillsborough County Deputies has led to the arrest of a man accused of forcing women to engage in sexual acts for drugs.

▫️Officers find missing girl, arrest human trafficking suspect in Los Angeles
A 23-year-old man from Hawthorne has been arrested and charged with human trafficking after he was found with a 17-year-old girl who was reported missing from Orange County in April.
Police said that the unidentified girl was reported missing from her home in Irvine and that she was "possibly being exploited for purposes of commercialized sex," the OCHTTF statement said.
They found her the next day with Alex Polidore, the 23-year-old Hawthorne man, in Los Angeles. He was arrested and booked into the Anaheim Police Department's Detention Facility for a parole violation and several human-trafficking-related offenses. On Thursday, Polidore was charged with human trafficking of a minor by the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
