▫️ROMANIAN POLICE – ACTION AGAINST DRUG TRAFFICKING, MINOR TRAFFICKING AND PROMOTION
The police officers of the Ploiești Organized Crime Combating Brigade, together with the prosecutors of D.I.I.C.O.T. – Ploiești Territorial Service, documented the criminal activity of 3 individuals, aged 20, 21 and 34, investigated for committing the crimes of high-risk drug trafficking, high-risk drug trafficking, trafficking in minors and procuring.
The criminal investigation documents showed that, between November 2024 and April 2025, two of the investigated individuals, aged 20 and 21, allegedly purchased, possessed, offered for free and sold various quantities of cannabis (a high-risk drug), with amounts ranging between 30 and 60 lei for one gram.
The 21-year-old person under investigation was also charged with recruiting a minor victim in June 2024, forcing her to engage in prostitution by using physical violence and threats against her and her family, facilitating this activity by providing her with a rented home, constant accompaniment and supervision. The sums of money obtained by the minor victim were allegedly appropriated in full by the person under investigation.

Police officers from the Caraș – Severin Organized Crime Service, together with prosecutors from D.I.I.C.O.T. – Caraș – Severin Territorial Office, documented the criminal activity of several individuals investigated for committing the crimes of minor trafficking, instigation of minor trafficking, child pornography, rape committed against a minor, rape and sexual assault committed against a minor.

Police officers from the Pitești Organized Crime Combating Brigade, together with prosecutors from the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism Crimes - Pitești Territorial Service, documented the criminal activity of a 28-year-old man, investigated for committing the crime of human trafficking.

▫️The prompt intervention of the police officers from Ulmeni led to the finding of a young woman, approximately one hour after the crime of deprivation of liberty was reported
Following the specific activities carried out by the police officers of the Maramureș County Police Inspectorate, in collaboration with those from Salaj County, the man suspected of committing the crime was located and is currently in police custody.
The police officers continue their investigations in order to document the facts and order legal measures.

▫️Two proclaimed offenders arrested in connection with 2023 Libya boat tragedy
FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Money Laundering Circle Faisalabad has arrested two proclaimed offenders involved in the 2023 Libya boat tragedy, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to the FIA, the arrested suspects, identified as Ataullah and Faisal Shehzad, are residents of Daska, Sialkot. The FIA revealed that the suspects had extorted millions of rupees from citizens by luring them with promises of overseas employment.

▫️Child maid tortured to death
LAHORE - A 10-year-old domestic worker, Sonia, was allegedly tortured to death by her employers in Lahore's Hanjarwal area on Saturday.
Sonia was working at the residence of Farrukh Bashir and his wife Nosheen, where she reportedly endured weeks of physical abuse. Her mother, Asma Bibi, a resident of Arifwala, had sent her daughter to work in the household three months ago through a relative, Sheikh Fiyaz, for a monthly wage of Rs8,000.
The family alleges that no medical treatment was provided to the child, despite her deteriorating condition. An FIR was registered at Hanjarwal Police Station under Sections 302 (murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code on the mother's complaint. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran ordered the immediate formation of a special investigation team. The couple has since been arrested, and legal proceedings are underway.

▫️US national rescued in Jhang after reported abduction from Lahore
A 14-year-old girl holding American citizenship, who was reportedly abducted from the Sundar area of Lahore, has been safely recovered from Jhang district, police confirmed on Wednesday.
The teenager, identified as Fatima Zahra, was allegedly lured and taken by a suspect named Hassan, who has since been taken into custody and is facing abduction charges, according to Express News.

▫️Benfleet station arrest after 'paedophile hunters' sting
A sting by "paedophile hunters" at Benfleet railway station has resulted in the arrest of a man accused of child sex offences.

Taking Action Against Predators, an online group dedicated to catching potential child sex offenders, confronted the man outside the station on Sunday afternoon and claim he was there to meet a 13-year-old child.
The group carried out the snare during a live stream on Facebook after one of their members posed as a child online and arranged to meet the man. Essex Police were called to the scene on Benfleet’s High Street and have confirmed that a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence.
