The Waterloo Regional Police Service is looking for a delivery driver involved in an alleged sexual assault.
Police were told an unknown man went to the Old Orchard Place and Thorndale Drive area of Waterloo on Friday around 7:25 p.m. They said he went to a home to deliver items from an online delivery service and assaulted a victim. Investigators want to speak to a person pictured in a newly released image as part of the case.

The Nova Scotia Public Prosecution Service is filing a direct indictment against an Alberta man facing historical pimping-related charges in Halifax.
Darrell Robert William Fisher, 37, of Edmonton is awaiting a two-day preliminary inquiry in Halifax provincial court this summer on a total of 13 charges. Ten of the charges involve a woman whose identity is protected by a publication ban. Those charges include human trafficking, receiving material benefit from human trafficking, procuring someone to engage in prostitution, living off the avails of prostitution of a person under the age of 18, making child pornography, possessing child pornography, sexual assault, assault, uttering threats to burn down the complainant’s mother’s house, and trafficking cocaine.

▫️Former Essex police officer from Ipswich jailed for string of child sex offences
former police officer has been jailed after he tricked underage girls into engaging in explicit conversations.
Mark Ling, 38, from Ipswich, who was serving with Essex Police at the time, pleaded guilty to a total of 12 counts of sexual communications with a child and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
A misconduct hearing at Essex Police in December 2024 heard allegations that between March 2021 and February 2023, Ling had used false personas to engage in explicit online conversations. Ling was working as a member of the Organised Support Group, which supports victims of crimes in the county. After the allegations were found proven, he was dismissed without notice. The ex-police officer was this week sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison.

A 'horrific' sexual predator who preyed on children has been thrown behind bars after one of his victim's friends bravely reported his actions to social services. Jay Hexter has been locked up for 12 years after being convicted of eight child sex offences which police have been investigating since 2020.
Essex Police began investigating the 38-year-old in October 2020 after receiving allegations of sexual assault involving two young girls. One of the girls had confided in a friend. The friend’s dad then contacted social services to report their concerns.

▫️Pedophiles caught attempting to pay for sex with girls at a hotel in Miami
The undercover operation carried out by the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office, the Human Trafficking Task Force, and the Miami Police Department resulted in the arrest of three men who arrived to pay money believing they were going to engage in sexual relations with girls aged 12 and 14.
The detained individuals were identified as Tito Xavier Gutiérrez, 38 years old, and Daniel Xavier O’Neill and Tangir Jamil Riman, both 27 years old. All face serious charges, including human trafficking, using technology to facilitate criminal acts, and transporting individuals to another county with the intent of engaging in sexual activities with minors.

▫️Texas Teacher Arrested for Having Sexual Relationship with Student: Cops
Texas teacher and coach Lily Janek was arrested and fired after being accused of having a sexual relationship with a high school student, reportedly inviting the student to her home multiple times. A Webb City School District employee is now facing felony enticement of a child charges.
25-year-old Logan Duncan was taken into custody Thursday after a video from “Bikers Against Predators” allegedly showed him planning to meet with a 13-year-old girl for sex at the Junior High School. Duncan had been communicating with a decoy from the group and even sent a nude photo with the knowledge the decoy was underage.

SAN ANTONIO — The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in locating 21-year-old Rolando Tello, who is wanted for felony charge of sexual assault of a child.
Police say investigators uncovered electronic evidence confirming the assault. An arrest warrant was filed, but Tello had fled his residence to evade law enforcement.

A Piscataway police officer has been arrested and charged following a sexual contact investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and South Plainfield Police Department.
The officer was identified as Wesley Kliwinski, 37, a resident of Hamilton, Mercer County, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and South Plainfield Police Chief Peter Papa. Kliwinski was arrested May 1 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexual conduct, a third-degree crime, criminal sexual contact, a fourth-degree crime, and harassment, a petty disorderly persons offense.

A Hummelstown man is charged with kidnapping and human trafficking after he allegedly sexually abused a girl for seven years.
Gregory Strickland, 44, was arrested on over 30 charges following an investigation by the Dauphin County Criminal Investigation Division.
On March 4, officers served a search warrant at Strickland’s Hummelstown home after they received several tips about his accounts accessing child sex abuse materials, according to charging documents. While at his home, detectives learned that Strickland had allegedly been sexually abusing and raping a girl for seven years, from when she was 10 years old to the day of Strickland’s arrest.

▫️ICE raids NW OKC home linked to human smuggling ring
The federal government is investigating an illegal human smuggling operation with connections in the metro. ICE agents located a home in Northwest Oklahoma City owned by the leader of the operation, conducting a raid on the home last week looking for eight undocumented people.
The search warrant for the home is sealed but an indictment filed in the Northern District of Oklahoma detailed the human trafficking operation. Those involved allegedly profited by smuggling undocumented people across the Mexico border into the United States, including Oklahoma.

▫️Virginia man arrested for having sex with a minor when he was a church youth group volunteer in 2014
Casey Ashton Phillips, 32, has been charged with two counts of lewd/lascivious battery on a victim under 16 after a woman came forward to say he had coerced her into having sex in 2014 or 2015, when she was 14 or 15 years old; Phillips was 20 or 21 years old at the time of the alleged incidents and was a volunteer at Northwest Baptist Church.
The victim came forward in January 2025 and said Phillips was a volunteer at Northwest Baptist Church (5514 NW 23rd Avenue) when she was a child, and her parents sometimes let him drive her to church for youth group meetings.

▫️Ex-Abercrombie CEO Mike Jeffries unfit for trial on trafficking charge
The former CEO of Abercrombie & Fitch is mentally unfit to stand trial on charges he and two others operated a secretive, international sex trafficking scheme, a federal judge ruled on May 2.
Michael Jeffries, 80, who served as CEO of the clothing company from 1992 to 2014, along with Matthew Smith, 61, and James Jacobson, 71, were arrested in October 2024 in what prosecutors said was an organized interstate prostitution enterprise that involved transporting young, aspiring male models to events in New York and other places around the world and coercing them into having sex. Two forensic psychologists said in an April court filing that Jeffries has Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia and is suffering from residual effects of a traumatic brain injury, the Columbus Dispatch, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported.

▫️Spring Valley man pleads guilty to sexually abusing 8-year-old girl
A Spring Valley man has pleaded guilty to the sexual abuse of an 8-year-old girl, according to Rockland County District Attorney’s Office.
Officials say Timothy King, 23, began abusing the child in 2018 and continued for two years. The victim reported the abuse to family members, who contacted authorities in 2024. King is expected to receive a 10-year prison sentence with five years of post-release supervision. He will also be required to register as a sex offender. The sentencing is scheduled to take place in July.

▫️Registered Sex Offender Pleads Guilty to Sexual Exploitation of Minors
Baltimore, Maryland – Harrison James Miller, 32, of Hagerstown, Maryland, has pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a child and the commissioning of a felony crime involving a minor by a registered sex offender.

In August 2022, upon release from prison, Miller moved to Hagerstown, Maryland, but did not register as a sex offender as required by law. He then gained access to two children, ages 4 and 5, and sexually abused them over a period of several months. Additionally, Miller took images of the minors which he stored in a password protected folder on his cell phone.

▫️‘Self-described pimp’ of children sentenced to prison
A Las Vegas man will serve more than 13 years in prison after he solicited multiple children to engage in prostitution.
Denzel Loyd, 39, also will have 15 years of supervised release, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release. Chief U.S. District Judge Andrew P. Gordon handed down the sentence Thursday. Prosecutors said Loyd used Facebook to contact minors and solicit them to engage in sexual acts, send him sexually explicit images and videos of themselves, and prostitute themselves on his behalf. Loyd was arrested in May 2020 after police said he trafficked or tried to traffic five teenage girls and a teenage boy — ages 13 to 17 — for sex.

Oklahoma Highway Patrolman Cody Creswell saw the worst of humanity during a traffic stop when he saved a young boy from human trafficking.
