What a great testimony to the grace of God and the power of Christ, which is made perfect in our weaknesses. No matter what you and I are facing and no matter what tests and trials we may be required to face, we have God's full assurance that His grace is sufficient for all eventualities that may come our way. May we like Paul be able to boast all the more gladly in our own weaknesses and frailty so that the power of Christ may rest upon us, to the praise of His name. Hallelujah! Amen!

Iran's Hypersonic Missiles

Some watchman accounts on social media and many mainstream media outlets have embraced and pushed Iran's claim that she has developed hypersonic missilesβ€”as her Fattah-1 and her Kheibar Shekan-2. But according to the majority of military experts in Western defense and geo-political-analysis think-tanks, this claim is largely hype.

Bradley Bowman, for instance, who is the Senior Director of FDD's (Foundation for the Defense of Democracies) Center on Military and Political Power, wrote, "Tehran's claims about new capabilities should be taken with a heavy grain of salt, but it would be a mistake to shrug at Iran's growing missile capabilities."

Similar evaluations are found in articles written by the Washington Institute, the Institute for Strategic Studies, and Stimson.

The mistake many are making is confusing hypersonic speed with hypersonic missile capability. Many surface to surface missiles (ballistic missiles) cross the hypersonic threshold, but this doesn't make them hypersonic missiles. The distinguishing feature of a hypersonic missile is the ability to maneuver significantly during atmospheric flight, which makes it extremely difficult to track and shoot down.

The two main classes of hypersonic missiles are HGVs (Hypersonic Glide Vehicles) and HCMs (Hypersonic Cruise Missiles). The former use solid- or liquid-propellant engines. The latter use scramjet air-breathing engines. Unlike ballistic missiles, which follow a predictable path in their flight, hypersonic missiles fly unpredictable paths, posing significant interception challenges.

Currently, the US, Russia, and China have HCM's in deployment and many others have development programs. Currently, only Russia and China have HGVs in deployment, though the US is in advanced testing.

Iran's Fattah missile is advanced and should not be taken lightly. Its second stage works like an MaRV (Maneuverable Reentry Vehicle) and has a limited capability for atmospheric maneuverability during the terminal stretch of its flight. This makes it harder to shoot down during the terminal stretch. The soft underbelly of the Fattah missile (like the other supposed hypersonic missiles in Iran's arsenal) is that it is vulnerable to interception during the middle stretch of its flight because it flies a predictable path just like a ballistic missile.

The bottom line is, Iran's current missile arsenal doesn't contain missiles that can't be handled with current US and Israeli anti-missile technology. This may change in the future if Iran's technology advances faster than American and Israeli technology. But I won't hold my breath.

Error always traffics in soundbites, rhetoric, and ad hominem attacks. What ever happened to substantive arguments from the word of God? Tragically, sola scriptura seems to have transmogrified into a euphemism for sola rhetorica.

May we so walk in the spirit of Christ, that like Him, our visible walk as well as our hidden ways, may become a sweet~smelling aroma to our heavenly Father. May we walk in love... just as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us ~ an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

Let us never forget that Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes, and pray for the salvation of Jew and Gentile alike. Let us thank God for His faithfulness to Israel; past, present, and future, and rejoice that His promises to them, and to us, are true and cannot be broken. Let us pray for the day when the current blindness to the truth is lifted from Israel's eyes, and Jesus returns as their Messiah and King to set up His earthly kingdom as promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and His Seed, forever.

Mat 28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

Oh, what a glorious privilege it is to have our hope in God. May we be motivated to enlarge our perspective of our glorious God of Hope and fix our hope on Him Who has already blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, in Christ Jesus our Lord. May we continue to trust in His unbreakable Word and live our lives in a manner that honours His holy name.

David rejoiced to sing praises to the Lord His God Who does great things for His servants and Whose glorious character and attributes are proclaimed abroad, trumpeted throughout the extremity of the heavens by creation itself, and hidden in plain sight within the pages of sacred Scripture.
Both the performances and the promises of God are the subject of David's high acclaim and great rejoicing in God's eternal splendour, which is further revealed in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ Who is the final revelation of the greatness of God, Whom to know is life eternal.

Let us keep the Word of God fresh in our hearts each day. Let us recognise our faults and failings and readily confess our sins to our Father in heaven. Let us never forget that we are the people of God who have been purchased with the precious blood of Christ ~ and that the many precious promises of God towards us, his sons and heirs, are 'yes' and 'amen' in Christ Jesus.
And let us in everything, by prayer and praise, rejoice in the Lord and abide in His love, for the joy of the Lord is indeed our strength, through time and into eternity.

The next few days could see the conflict in the Middle East rise to a whole 'nother level. Will Israel allow Iran to take her best shot with a wave of missiles fired from Iraq and other proxy locations, and maybe some launched from Iran too? Or will Israel strike preemptively based on Iran's threat? Will Israel go after missile bunkers and silos, or nuclear sites, or oil refineries, or tech targets? Will she go after military and political leaders? Israel has insisted that this next attack will be ramped up. No matter what happens, it sure seems like the Gog & Magog scenario is starting to dawn upon the world.
