THE watershed passage in the Bible which divides the literal hermeneutic from the allegorical hermeneutic is Daniel 9:24-27.

24 "Seventy weeks are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy.
25 "Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times.
26 "And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, and till the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate."

Never question the length and depth and height and breadth of God's gracious love towards you, for God demonstrated His love towards us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. And the hope that comes through faith in Christ does not disappoint, because the supernatural love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, Who was given to us, through time and into eternity.

Mat 24:35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

Here is 2 Peter 2:12 properly parsed.
"But these [men] --- like irrational wild animals, which are made to be taken and destroyed --- speak evil of things they don't understand, and they shall perish in their own corruption."

This passage draws a parallel between the ungodly and animals. The ungodly are as irrational as wild animals. They are like animals because of their moral corruption. They shall perish like animals because of their corruption. If you void the force of the portion that addresses the wild animals, then you void the force of the portion that addresses the ungodly. If the wild animals are not made to be taken and consumed, then how do we draw the parallel between the ungodly and wild animals?

Jesus taught an amazing truth that those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake are blessed. Those who believe in Him and follow Him are blessed, even when they are insulted, persecuted, or falsely accused because of Him: "Don't resist an evildoer. On the contrary, if anyone slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also... because your reward is great in heaven." May we live a Christlike life, in thought, word, and deed. As the apostle Peter also taught: "Do not return evil for evil or insult for insult, but give a blessing instead ~ for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing."

Never thought "milk and honey" would have doctrinal ramifications for the NT church. Now it is ground that we must defend against the NWO agenda.

Prayer request. Leaving for OK tomorrow to work with Mondo and Josh Peck on a response to prewrath's Seven Pretrib Problems. Pray for journey mercies down and back, for the project to go smoothly, and for good opportunities of fellowship with family and friends.

No theological qualification is more esteemed today that flushing your brain down the potty and drinking the kool-aid.

RUSSIA ON THE RADAR

Two big things to watch are the nuclear reactor in Zaporizhzhia and the Russian response to the recent incursion in the Kursk region.

What will happen with the nuclear reactor in Zaporizhzhia? Will the security situation stabilize or will the plant be damaged and meltdown or even explode? Will it be sabotaged? Who will point the finger at whom?

How will Russia respond to the incursion in the Kursk region? Will they drive the Ukrainians back across the border? Will they allow the region to stay overrun for the time being and make Ukraine pay in a big way somewhere else? Will be interesting to watch how this plays out. The Russians seem to believe that NATO was directly involved in this, giving them yet one more red line that NATO has crossed. Will they finally do something about these crossed red lines or will they merely grumble?

Mat 24:35, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away."

May we who have been saved by grace through faith put on the new man and abide in Christ, day by day, for we have been made a new creation in Him: "Created according to God's likeness ~ in righteousness and purity of the truth."
May our speech be gracious and pleasant at all times, seasoned as it were with salt, so we may speak the truth in love. May we encourage and edify our brothers and sisters in Christ, with gracious words and pure deeds ~ so we remain in close fellowship with our heavenly Father and become the living testimony to our fellow man.

Prayer should be the in~breathing of our Lord into the inner core of our being and prayer should be the out~breathing of our utter devotion to our Saviour and Lord. Let us remember that when the prayers of the saints are offered to the Lord in steadfast faith, combined with grateful thanks and a trusting heart, we have the authority of heaven behind all that we carry to the throne of grace, through His nail~pierced hands and feet.

Praise God that Jesus is the Door through Whom we will pass from death to life, by faith... and that anyone who enters through Him will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture, not only in this age but in the ages to come ~ for Jesus is the One Who protects us from the evil schemes of the devil, guards us from the dangers of this fallen world system, secures salvation for all who believe, sustains our spiritual health, promises us a place in Christ's heavenly kingdom, and is keeping, for us, an eternal inheritance in the eternal ages to come.

He is the living God and the everlasting King. The whole earth will tremble at his anger. The nations will not be able to stand up to his wrath. But those that trust in His name will sing His praises forever, lifting our voices to our Saviour, Comforter, Redeemer, and Friend:
"Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen."

The peace of God can too often be hindered when a heart is devoid of thanksgiving and praise. A grateful heart that is filled with heavenly thanks and praise to God, is a heart that is ready and prepared to have the peace of Christ stream into their inner being and flow out to others ~ as a testimony of praise to our heavenly Father. May we with one accord let the peace of Christ rule in our hearts day by day and moment by moment.. for it is to this that the body in Christ has been called ~ and let us in all things be thankful.

God alone determined that the wages of guilty sinners is death, and He also determined that salvation would be His gift of grace, through faith alone in His only begotten Son, and that nothing in our character, conduct, natural descent, or human merit, would influence or affect our salvation. God sovereignly dictates the conditions of our salvation, which is a gift of His grace ALONE to ALL who believe. Salvation is by grace ALONE, through faith ALONE, in Christ ALONE because God determined it to be so. All you have to do to receive it is to believe in the Person of Christ and His sacrificial work on the Cross, and you will be saved.
