When men get upset at challenges to dubious teaching and accuse the challenger of attacking those bringing the dubious teaching, they prove that their Christianity revolves more around men than around the word of God, facts, and the historical-grammatical hermeneutic. Since when did personalities trump facts? It is high time for our loyalty to revolve around the word of God and the facts of history and grammar.

Doctrinal errors, great or small, find traction because they persuade men to embrace a narrative and suspend (for that one issue) their usual critical thinking. There are zero exceptions to this principle. None of these issues are beyond the grasp of high school students were they given sufficient time and opportunity for investigation.

THOUGHTS ON THE TARIFFS

Many have expressed fears that America is going to see accelerated inflation and hardship because of the tariffs, both threatened and imposed, and they fear that they will lead to the economy imploding. They have pointed to the recent stock market crash and blamed the tariffs. I think this is a mistaken understanding of what is going on. I suspect that most don't understand what the purpose for the tariffs is and what the most likely result will be.

While there could be problems if the tariff effort fails, what is most likely going to happen over the course of the upcoming months is that many nations are going to go to the bargaining table with Trump to avoid the pain of steep tariffs hammering their economy. They will eventually hammer out trade deals that will narrow the trade deficit for America, strengthen our economy, and strengthen the economies of those who play nice.

What must be understood is that the tariffs are not an end in and of themselves. Nor are they a NWO agenda to destroy the world's economy. They are an American strategy to decrease America's trade deficit, increase investment in America, increase American manufacturing, increase American mining, increase American employment, and strengthen the American economy. The tariffs are a battlefield strategy designed to force other nations to change their economic strategies. They were imposed knowing full well that they would ultimately cause nations to back down on their tariffs, increase their purchases of American goods, and thus reduce America's trade deficit.

We have seen evidence of this in the past few weeks, and we will see more in the future. The tariff ploy, barring some unforeseen disaster, will prove a huge boon to America in the next few years.
