Tommy let me wear the sheriff's hat for a minute at the Pretrib Study Group Conference.

May we never forget that there is a Man in heavenly places ~ Jesus Christ the righteous Who is presently seated at the right hand of God the Father and because we are in Christ, we are therefore seated with Him, today, in heavenly places. No wonder we are exhorted to seek the things that are above, where Christ is ~ seated on the right hand of God. May we do so today! May we keep on seeking after this from this day forward. May we seek Him with all our heart and soul and mind and strength and recognise the incredible privileges that we have in Christ ~ the God of our salvation.

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak ~ but those that utterly depend on God, abide in Christ and pray in unity with the Holy Spirit are given the strength to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil ~ for Christ not only paid the price for our sin but broke the POWER of sin in the lives of all who believe, in this Christian dispensation. May we all stand firm on the gospel of grace and the Word of truth, in full assurance that HIS grace is sufficient, for His power is perfected in our weakness.

Let us not love the world nor the things of this world by living a fleshly and carnal life, knowing that this will cause our fellowship with our Heavenly Father to be seriously affected and will have the devastating result that the love of the Father is no longer in us. Rather, let us love the Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our strength, and let us seek to walk in spirit and in truth, day by day, to His praise and glory.

We too have great hope in the God of our salvation and like David, we too will please Him when we unreservedly trust in His Word and believe that he is a God Who rewards those who diligently seek Him and obey His Word in spirit, in truth and out of love for Him, Who loved us first.
Today, men's hearts are fearful of what is coming on the world, but we are not of this world that we should despair, for our faith is in the same God in Whom David trusted. Let us hold fast to the joy that is set before us and watch and wait for that Blessed Hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

No longer are we lost sinners ensnared by the world and slaves to Satan's evil plans. No longer is our inner man spiritually dead, at enmity with God, and under His eternal condemnation. We who were once estranged from our Creator have been brought near by the blood of Christ and placed in eternal union with Him having been given "above all that we can ask or think," by God's grace through faith alone in Christ alone.

God does not choose to save some and damn others ~ that is a damnable lie. All are given the same offer of salvation. Those who are saved are simply those who have chosen to believe God's Word and by faith have trusted Christ as Saviour, while those who perish are simply those who have chosen to reject God's free gift of grace. But ALL that the Father gives to Christ will come to Him, and not one who comes to Jesus for salvation will be cast away.

He did preach the good news of salvation to the poor, proclaiming freedom from sin, Satan, death, and hell ~ by faith in Him. He gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and loosed the tongue of the mute. He raised the dead, turned water into wine, fed multitudes of men and freed those who were oppressed through the good news that He came to bring ~ and He gave His life as the ransom price for the sin of the world on a wooden cross, two thousand years ago.

Let us remember that today is the day of salvation for many, and that we need to conduct ourselves in a godly manner with all wisdom. Let us make the most of every opportunity we have to share the good news of the gospel of Christ as we seek to walk in wisdom and truth so that we may practice living prudently in all our relations with others. Let us redeem the time and make the most of our opportunities to share the good news of the gospel of Christ, Who died for our sins and rose again to give us His life so that we might become children of God.

God has planned every day of our lives, and He has planned what He has in store for the earth as well. Isaiah reminds us that all the wonderful things that God has done, he planned long ago, which is a testament to His perfect faithfulness. No wonder the remnant that Isaiah talks about will exalt the Lord and praise His name. 
In the same way, we should never forget that no matter what trials and tribulations we face in this Church Age, let us be part of today's little flock who trusts God's Word, believes His promises, gives glory to His name, and lifts up our voices in joyful praise and worship: "Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will give thanks to Your name; For You have worked wonders, Plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness."

The Lord is indeed One. He is unique and there is no other God beside Him, but the unmistakable doctrine of the Trinity has its stamp of authority throughout the entire Word of God and the 'Shema' which the Lord Jesus referenced to the young Jewish ruler, only serves to endorse the monotheistic doctrine of the Triune Godhead ~ for the Lord our God is ONE Lord ~ unique from all the false gods of the pagan nations for He is the One Creator and the only wise Saviour Who is One in unity, One in purpose, One in thought, and word and deed.

Our hope in the Lord will never, ever be disappointed because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by means of the indwelling Holy Spirit, Who was given to us the moment we trusted Christ for salvation.
Let us take to heart this exhortation to rejoice in our suffering, for as members of the Body of Christ, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing ~ not only in this world, but in the ages to come ~ praise His holy name.

At the judgment seat of Christ we will be judged objectively by the word of God regarding our doctrines, practices, and love. This implies that we are able to objectively study, understand, and apply the word of God and thereby be molded into disciples who manifest some reasonable semblance of God's doctrines, practices, and love. But things like pride and prejudice undermine this process. May we all guard our hearts so that the word of God holds the reins, not our pride and prejudice.

What a comfort to know that soon and very soon, Jesus will be coming back for His Bride. How we long for that day when we will see Him face to face and be with Him for eternity. Let us occupy until He comes and tell all who may listen to the glorious truth of the gospel so that more can be part of His Bride, welcomed into His presence, and always be with Him.

The Holy Grail of spirituality is flushing your brain down the potty and letting a church or a creed tell you what you are supposed to believe.

Umm … big nope! The brain flush is tantamount to a Bible flush. A closed brain is a closed Bible. The adversary hates the word of God because it contains the truth, and the truth sets men free! So he often uses religion to resist the Bible.

Turn to the Bible alone! The word of God is the absolute and final arbiter of truth.

The Almighty Creator of the universe, the unchanging, all~powerful, eternal, omniscient God of heaven and earth, Who was, and Who is, and Who is to come, chose to complete His communication concerning His glorious plan of redemption for His people, in this final book of the Bible. And as we read the words, we are reminded of God's great grace towards us: "In that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." And as we meditate on these terrifying prophetic verses, we can have peace in our hearts that God (Who is altogether righteous, altogether loving, and altogether perfect) will do right in all things. As Genesis reminds us: "Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?"

Let us come boldly to the throne of grace and lay down anything that hinders us from entering His Sabbath~rest. The rest we can only find in Jesus, as we trust Him to keep us in perfect peace. While we are still living in this world in our bodies, our rest is in Him ~ we rest in His Word and we rest in His promises.
