Truly He is a wonderful God. His wisdom is pure wisdom, holy wisdom, godly wisdom, and eternal wisdom for all Who believe in Him. His knowledge is a storehouse of blessings to all of His children. His understanding is a table that is overflowing with good things, and all these good things are all found in Christ ~ Who is the wisdom of God and the power of God ~ and by grace through faith, we are one with Christ and He is of God.

I am all for discernment and sound doctrine. This has been my life for 45 years. But this, as every aspect of our pilgrim walk, must be done in love, in decency, and in order. In the past year I have watched several discernment ministries go off the rails. Not content to disagree with men of God, they choose to rail on them for a growing list of sins: selling books, holding conferences, having big churches, leading Christian cruise vacations, making as much money as a good carpenter. They accuse them of heresy for mere doctrinal disagreements. They accuse them of severe compromise for cooperating with blood-bought evangelicals who shall be in heaven.

A word of caution is in order. Gal 5:14-15, "For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!"

The recollection of that awesome moment when, together with James and John, he witnessed a glimpse of Christ's coming majesty, must have been etched in Peter's heart and memory until the day of his death. Peter must have been implored many times to recount those precious moments to these other saints, who also worshiped the Lord in spirit and in truth.
The reverential fear of the Lord Jesus Christ is very evident in this verse, and Peter calls each one of us to be holy for the Lord our God is holy. May we honour and reverence Him in all we do, for Jesus Christ is God’s dearly beloved Son: "In Whom I am well~pleased."

All that the Lord has done for us should inspire us towards sincere worship, fervent praise, impassioned homage, and everlasting worship. The recognition of God's boundless mercy and grace towards sinners such as us ~ should incline us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. May we be energised from this day forward, to give Him the glory and worship that is due to His holy name. May we be stimulated, in the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, to offer Him the honour, praise, adoration, and thanks ~ for He alone is worthy.

Paul, an apostle and bond~servant of Christ, was prepared to work tirelessly for the Lord Who bought Him, with His own precious blood. He was willing to suffer, even to the point of death for love of his Lord. He was ready to affirm that his intense labour and tireless work was not credited to him because of his own might, merit or worthiness.. but was granted to him by God's grace and for God's greater glory.

Peter reminds us that we are living stones, being built up into a spiritual house and a holy priesthood in order to offer up spiritual sacrifices to the Lord God almighty... and Paul wrote instructions to Timothy so that we will know how Christians ought to conduct themselves in the household of God ~ which is the Church of the living God, the pillar and the support of truth.
How blessed we are to be members of the Body of Christ ~ living stones that are being built up into a spiritual house ~ whose Builder and Maker is God.

Is Prophecy Watchers in a Hallmark movie?

How important that our prayers are not a ritual or a duty, but are offered to the Lord in faith. How important to pray in faith, expecting the Lord to answer our request. Prayer that is offered up in unbelief causes a man or woman to be tossed hither and thither by doubts and uncertainty about God's goodness and grace. But the walk of faith is a life that is lived trusting God in the midst of difficulties, holding fast to His precious promises, and knowing that God's Word stands fast for ever and ever.

Let us consider what an incredible privilege it is to have seven letters from the Lord Jesus ~ that are written to the Church of God and to pay heed to everything that they say. Each epistle is designed to challenge each of us who are called of God. Each letter is able to speak to us if we are ready and willing to listen to His voice.

The spiritual man may be exhorted to carry the burdens of others when they are in trouble... but also remains responsible for the life that he lives, knowing that we will all be judged for what we have done in this life and not for the deeds of others.
There is a fine line between fulfilling the Law of Christ in spirit and truth and becoming proud of our spiritual accomplishments when we carry the burdens of others ~ and each one of us should examine ourselves to see if our gracious acts honour the Lord ~ or lead to pride and cause us to stumble.

I just selected the narrator for a professional-grade audio-book version of The Rogue, which is volume one of my four-volume prophecy fiction series which is titled Planets Shaken. This series presents a core of useful information on prophecy, electric universe cosmology, and the numerous rogue-planet spawned catastrophes that hammered the ancient world from the flood to 701 BC. These rogue planets are right at the core of the ancient religions and mythologies.

If they are good works that He has prepared for us to do and are carried out in spirit and truth with the sole purpose of honouring God, they will receive a reward. But if they are works that appear to be righteous and good but are carried out in the flesh, then no reward will be received from God. We need to reflect on the motive behind all that we say and do, so that we do not fall into the temptation of trying to carrying out hypocritical actions in our own fleshly power in order to impress God or others of our piety in order to receive their warm applause. God sees the secret motive behind all our actions and attitudes and knows whether they are done for self~glorification or for the praise and glory of our heavenly Father.

May we never forget that there is a Man in heavenly places ~ Jesus Christ the righteous Who is presently seated at the right hand of God the Father and because we are in Christ, we are therefore seated with Him, today, in heavenly places. No wonder we are exhorted to seek the things that are above, where Christ is ~ seated on the right hand of God. May we do so today! May we keep on seeking after this from this day forward. May we seek Him with all our heart and soul and mind and strength and recognise the incredible privileges that we have in Christ ~ the God of our salvation.

The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak ~ but those that utterly depend on God, abide in Christ and pray in unity with the Holy Spirit are given the strength to overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil ~ for Christ not only paid the price for our sin but broke the POWER of sin in the lives of all who believe, in this Christian dispensation. May we all stand firm on the gospel of grace and the Word of truth, in full assurance that HIS grace is sufficient, for His power is perfected in our weakness.

Let us not love the world nor the things of this world by living a fleshly and carnal life, knowing that this will cause our fellowship with our Heavenly Father to be seriously affected and will have the devastating result that the love of the Father is no longer in us. Rather, let us love the Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our strength, and let us seek to walk in spirit and in truth, day by day, to His praise and glory.

We too have great hope in the God of our salvation and like David, we too will please Him when we unreservedly trust in His Word and believe that he is a God Who rewards those who diligently seek Him and obey His Word in spirit, in truth and out of love for Him, Who loved us first.
Today, men's hearts are fearful of what is coming on the world, but we are not of this world that we should despair, for our faith is in the same God in Whom David trusted. Let us hold fast to the joy that is set before us and watch and wait for that Blessed Hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.

JEHU

Come see my zeal for God, he cried,

Revealed his rash and haughty pride,

He claimed he acted for the Lord
And willingly took up the sword,
But righteousness was not restored
When he assumed the throne.

His zeal was fleshly from the start.
He chased the dictates of his heart
And did the work of God in part,
When good occasion rose.
God used his self-ambitious bent
To finish Ahab's punishment.
That Jehu had no pure intent
The final outcome shows.

The priests of Baal he overthrew.
The king of Israel he slew,
And heirs of Judah's kingdom, too,
But kept the golden calf.
So, when like Jehu, men appeal
To their superior show of zeal,
Their actions more of self reveal
Than love on God's behalf.
