We may face injustice in this world as the enemy of our soul seeks to discredit our testimony, discourage our hearts, and destroy our faith, but Jesus has promised never to leave us and to be with us whatever betides. Let us never forget that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him, and a day is coming when He will judge the world in righteousness and faithfully bring forth justice, in God's time and His way.

Paul encourages us to live every day for Christ, redeeming the time, and eagerly awaiting our Lord: "Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Christ Jesus."
This confident, future hope of the glory of God is the eternal fruit of today's patient endurance in our present sufferings ~ and so let us rejoice in our suffering KNOWING the glory that will be revealed.

My apologies to all who expected a livestream with LA Marzulli yesterday. He received an unexpected visit from dear friends and wanted to spend the evening with them. So we have rescheduled for Wed Nov 27 at 6 pm Central, 5 pm Rocky, 4 pm Pacific. Really looking forward to this time with a dear friend, pioneer researcher, and devoted believer.

"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life." It is faith in the full and finished work of the Son and trusting Him as Saviour that is the criteria for reconciliation to the Father, as was agreed by the Godhead in the eternal council chamber of heaven, before the world began.

ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been given to HIM.

As believers, we still retain our freewill, but in Christ we have received power over that old, fallen, sin nature as we die to self and live for Christ alone. If we permit the old sin nature to mount the throne of our life, we dishonour the Lord and will reap the bitter fruit of sinfulness, but if we keep the old man nailed to the Cross and live for Christ alone, we will reap the everlasting fruit of righteousness: "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life."

Error feels at liberty to level broad-brush charges against evangelism or dispensationalism with convoluted or stretched arguments, yet throws a hissy fit and whines she is being attacked when anyone responds to her attack with a forceful show of reason and facts. Dogs that bite shouldn't pretend they are being mistreated when they get beaten with a big stick.

In the absolute and unique unity of the Godhead, before the foundation of the world and all that was created ~ is the WORD, Who is identified from all eternity as the only One Who is qualified to become incarnate flesh ~ Immanuel ~ God with us ~ perfect God made fully Man ~ fully God and perfect Man ~ the eternal Son Who became the living Word ~ God the Son, Who was born as the Son of Man. For, "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory ~ as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

When one lesson is learned, another is forthcoming. David was to yield to the Lord and not resist His chastening rod. He was to be prepared to walk God's better way rather than follow his own imperfect whims. He was to surrender His imperfect will so that the perfect will of God may be fulfilled in his life. 
May we learn this important lesson, keep a short rein on sin, and be ready and willing to learn the lessons God has to teach us. May we allow His counsel to lead us in the decisions we make in life ~ for when we delight ourselves in the Lord HE gives us the desires of our heart.

God knows that thanksgiving and praise are no bedfellows to unforgiveness or fear. He knows that gratitude and rejoicing is no companion of dissatisfaction or murmuring, and so we are encouraged to give thanks in everything, even those difficult, daily circumstances, knowing that His grace is sufficient for those that are in Christ Jesus. As His children, we have benefits and glories beyond our understanding. Let us glorify God by giving thanks in everything, for this is the will of God, for all who are in Christ Jesus.

We are blessed beyond comparison to be part of Christ's Body and to be His Bride. And we who believe His Word and belong to Christ must be alert, awake, and fine~tune all our spiritual senses, knowing that any day "the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

Israel's millennial rest in the land promised to Abraham and his descendants, is one part of their promised sabbath~rest, and the 'rest' that Christians enjoy through faith in Christ's finished work on Calvary, is a down~payment for the full sabbath~rest in which we will one day participate: "So there remains a sabbath rest for the people of God," in the eternal ages to come.

The gospel message of saving grace is the most important information that we will ever hear and it is most vital message that we need to share with a lost and dying world, for Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners and then to live His life through them ~ by grace through believing that: "Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures."

May the desire of every Christian wife be to develop the inner beauty of her heart in her marriage, knowing that this is honouring to the Lord. May each one of us who are born from above similarly seek to foster the same internal qualities of heart and mind ~ the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious in the sight of God.

What a marvellous matter to know that the gift of eternal life, which we received at the moment of our salvation, is not conditional on our own steadfastness but on the truth of the Word of the Lord and the faithfulness of God's unchangeable character: "For His name's sake."
Praise God that when the aged apostle John said, "I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name's sake," that this truth is as pertinent today as it was when John penned this first epistle to all God's 'little children'.
