Let us be increasingly aware that the trials of life are used by God for our eternal benefit and for His greater glory. Paul discovered the wonderful truth that God's grace is sufficient to meet all the difficulties and dangers that we may encounter in life.
The greater the trial, the wider the arms of God's sufficient grace are extended to lift us up, carry us through, and draw us into a depth of intimacy with Himself that we would otherwise have missed: "Let endurance have its perfect result," so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

Like the Lord Jesus, we too are despised by this pagan world system and increasingly have become targets of ridicule and ill~treatment by a world which does not understand what manner of love the Father has towards you and me... who by faith in Christ have become His children and been made joint~heirs with Christ. One day the Lord Jesus is coming back to take us home and as sons of God, we will be made known to the world.
Let us hold firmly to this sure hope that is set before us, looking to Jesus ~ the Author and Finisher of our faith, knowing that those of us who have fixed our hope upon Him, purify ourselves just as Jesus is pure.

Rom 13:11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

Be on guard saints. Don't get lazy on watchman duty because of the election results. Don't be surprised if the coming revival of America and the church at large proves to have a serpentine underbelly that rubs Bible-believing Christians the wrong way. Our kingdom is not of this world. Theirs is.

Let us rejoice that the power of God to change the unbelieving hearts of the ungodly is the same in our own generation as it was in Paul's day. May we be earnest in supplications, and stand firm in our personal prayer ministry, resolving to pray earnestly and keep on praying that the gospel of Christ is effective today, that it will spread rapidly in these closing days of the Church dispensation, and that God will be greatly glorified.

Too often the problems of life are spawned by a wrong attitude towards our circumstances, our acquaintances and even towards God. And as a result, hasty words and complaining speech is often the consequence of this wrong spirit.
Let us follow the example of Peter and David, and by faith make the most of the life that God has given us by fostering a gracious attitude, a thankful heart, and conversation that is full of grace and seasoned with salt, that edifies and encourages, to the glory of God.

Let us seek to walk in spirit and truth, to submit to the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit, to listen to His voice of truth, and to trust in His Word of wisdom. Today, let us actively put on Christ so that we may passively abide in Him so that with Paul, we may confidently know that the testimony of our conscience is that we are daily conducting ourselves towards men and God with sincerity and purity, not by the fleshly wisdom of the world, but by the grace of God.

God has promised that His grace is sufficient in every difficult circumstance of life, and no matter what 'giants' we may encounter as we journey through life, we have His assurance of a victorious life with spiritual blessings ~ and rest for our soul. May we take to heart this warning in both the Old and New Testament to hold fast to the faith we have in Christ and to trust in God's unchanging Word, for He has promised a rest for the people of God, and that rest is found in Christ.

Let us pray for those that are overseers in local churches and shepherds in the Body of Christ today, that each one may take to heart this important command to be on their guard for their own spiritual well~being, and to take responsibility for protecting all the flock of God with sound doctrine and a disciplined life. Let us pray that they guard their own hearts as well as guiding and shepherding the Church of God, which our Saviour, Jesus Christ purchased with His own precious blood, 2000 years ago.

We may face injustice in this world as the enemy of our soul seeks to discredit our testimony, discourage our hearts, and destroy our faith, but Jesus has promised never to leave us and to be with us whatever betides. Let us never forget that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him, and a day is coming when He will judge the world in righteousness and faithfully bring forth justice, in God's time and His way.

Paul encourages us to live every day for Christ, redeeming the time, and eagerly awaiting our Lord: "Looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour, Christ Jesus."
This confident, future hope of the glory of God is the eternal fruit of today's patient endurance in our present sufferings ~ and so let us rejoice in our suffering KNOWING the glory that will be revealed.

My apologies to all who expected a livestream with LA Marzulli yesterday. He received an unexpected visit from dear friends and wanted to spend the evening with them. So we have rescheduled for Wed Nov 27 at 6 pm Central, 5 pm Rocky, 4 pm Pacific. Really looking forward to this time with a dear friend, pioneer researcher, and devoted believer.

"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes on Him should not perish but have everlasting life." It is faith in the full and finished work of the Son and trusting Him as Saviour that is the criteria for reconciliation to the Father, as was agreed by the Godhead in the eternal council chamber of heaven, before the world began.

ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been given to HIM.

As believers, we still retain our freewill, but in Christ we have received power over that old, fallen, sin nature as we die to self and live for Christ alone. If we permit the old sin nature to mount the throne of our life, we dishonour the Lord and will reap the bitter fruit of sinfulness, but if we keep the old man nailed to the Cross and live for Christ alone, we will reap the everlasting fruit of righteousness: "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life."
