Amen! Half-truths and twisted truths are dangerous. And truth out of balance or context has the force of error.

There is rejoicing in heaven when an unsaved sinner believes on the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sin ~ but there is also rejoicing when a child of God, who has been dazzled by the things of this world, comes to their senses and confesses their sin to the Lord. When we break our fellowship with our Heavenly Father through sin, this parable of the prodigal son gives us clear instructions on how to return into sweet communion with Him ~ we are to leave the old life behind, turn right away from our sin, return in penitence and obedience to the Lord our God, and confess our faults to our Heavenly Father.

JESUS ~ He is the Companion Who will never leave us nor forsake us. He is the Comforter that will always be there in those times of deep sadness. He is the One who will always support and encourage us, help and counsel us, comfort and warn us ~ and He is the One Whose unconditional love will be poured out upon us without measure, through time and into eternity.

The enemy of our soul has many ways to keep us from a knowledge of the truth, but just as Paul was ready to be delivered over to death for Christ's sake so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in his mortal flesh, may we also be willing to suffer for the sake of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, so that His life may be manifest in us and work through us, for God's greater glory.

The theme of rejoicing in the Lord and singing praise to His name with a grateful heart is a thread that weaves its way throughout the entire Scriptures, for there is no adversity that can stand against a heart that delights in the Lord, and there is no difficulty that can overcome the person that is filled with praise for our God.

Let us praise the name of Him Who started a good work in us at salvation and is faithful to complete it in the day of Christ. In the meantime, let us walk in spirit and truth and live in newness of life as we submit our lives to the work of the Holy Spirit within so that when we are judged for our works at the judgement seat of Christ, God will render to each person according to his deeds.

It is the washing of our souls in the cleansing power of the Word of God that purifies a heart ~ not a ritual bath, the eating of clean animals, or any other Mosaic ritual ~ all of which were big parts of pre~Cross religious practices of Israel. It is the washing of the water of the Word and the feeding on Christ that nourishes our soul, washes us clean, satisfies our hunger, and benefits our lives. It is Christ Jesus the Lord Who is our living bread. He is our spiritual food and the living water of life.

Today there is an insatiable thirst for spiritual wisdom; hidden knowledge, esoteric understanding, mystical illumination and supernatural enlightenment. Ignorant men and foolish women frantically search for a door~way into a perfect paradise through satanically inspired secret societies and mystically motivated mantras. But there is no way to achieve heavenly bliss, except through the blood of Jesus Christ and Him crucified ~ in Whom are hidden ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

One of the most encouraging verses in the Bible for me is 1 Kings 19:4.

"But [Elijah] went a day's journey into the wilderness, sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested that he might die; saying, 'I've had enough now, O LORD, take away my life. Things are not going any better for me than for my fathers.'"

This encourages me because Elijah was one of the most used men of God in the history of the world. God uses good men and women despite their moodiness, frustrations, discouragements, break downs. We have a powerful reminder in the NT (James 5:17-18) that "Elijah was an emotional basket-case just like we are." Your emotional weakness is no necessary hindrance to God using you in mighty works and answered prayer.

The tribulation will see the greatest revival in history in the midst of the greatest apostasy in history. The polarization of truth and lies will rapidly explode after the rapture.

One of the chief shortcomings among those who love Bible prophecy is that many play in the sandbox of speculative opinions and don't want their playtime bothered by historical facts, grammatical facts, contextual considerations, lexical research, linguistic research, or anything else that is part of a robust and consistent application of the historical-grammatical hermeneutic (the literal hermeneutic).

If you have the facts on your side, pound the facts; if you don't have the facts, then just pound the table and insult your opponent.

He is the King of all kings whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom which will begin with His millennial reign and will stretch into the eternal ages to come, and He is the Lord of all lords Who will rule the world in righteousness and will judge the nations with equity, truth, and an iron sceptre. And one day every knee will bow before Him and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
