Let us rejoice in the enormous privileges that are ours in Christ Jesus, but let us also take on board the great responsibility we have for living a life that honours the Lord, by putting off the old man and putting on the new.

Let us carry out our service to God in the power of the Spirit and use our gifts and graces wisely and for the benefit of the wider Body of Christ.

What a privilege it is to be a member of Christ's Body, for we all eat of the same Bread of Life, we all drink from the same Living Water, and we all partake of the same Spirit of God. We all have the same indwelling Holy Spirit, and we all partake of the same spiritual benefits. We all have the same heavenly inheritance, and we are all equally loved by the same Lord Jesus Christ.

Our life trials are not, as some suggest, a lack of faith or God's punishment, but a purifying tool that God uses to hone and refine His children ~ to develop our trust and dependence upon Him. God's purpose in each of our lives is to educate, discipline, and train us in righteousness and the fiery trials that come upon us are used by Him to try us, as the furnace tries silver ~ to cut deep into our fleshly nature and polish off all the fleshly dross that contaminates our new~life in Christ so that by grace through faith we will not murmur, but humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, knowing that He has promised to exalt us in due time. So let us accept life's fiery trial as a beautiful child~training tool to conform us into Christlikeness, and yield to His gracious child~training so that in the end, we will come forth as pure gold.

It is to God that our prayers and petitions are made and through our Saviour that our prayers are presented, because we have been saved by grace through faith in Him. May we maintain a heart of grateful thanksgiving and praise for all His goodness and grace to us, and may we be anxious about nothing, but in everything through our grateful prayers and entreaties make our requests known to Him, and we will discover His peace that passes understanding, guarding our heart and mind, as we abide in Christ and He is us.

What a joy to know that the suffering and insults we take on behalf of Christ are, in fact, a heavenly blessing given to us from above because the Spirit of Glory and of God rests upon us. May we look to Jesus and away from the world, and may the Word of Christ dwell in us richly so that the ungodly mindset of the world will be diminished.

Indeed, this should also be our continuous prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ ~ that our love increases and abounds, as we worship our heavenly King, grow in grace, and develop a more intimate knowledge of God.

Yes, we should rejoice ~ exceedingly, that we as members of His Body and partakers of His sufferings ~ for it is by faith in His sacrificial death and glorious Resurrection that we have not only been forgiven of our sin and clothed in His righteousness, but we are His blood~bought children, who have a blessed hope, a glorious future, and life everlasting ~ Amen.

The Old Covenant, which was conditional on Israel keeping the Law, was replaced at the CROSS with a New and better Covenant, which was cut with the blood of God's only begotten Son. This New Covenant is unconditional and stands on God's WORD ~ by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone as recorded in the Word of God ~ alone.

The ladies Bible study group that arranged a meeting in Grand Forks, ND last night.

Wicked men will one day be judged on the basis of their works. How important that we who have been saved by grace, and set apart unto God, do not ever engage in the ungodly practices of the wicked. How necessary that we live holy lives that honour the Lord... Who redeemed us with His own precious blood.

James calls all fleshly, carnal Christians to repent of their ungodly ways and in humility of heart to receive the implanted Word of God and to act on it faithfully, humbly, and wisely, which causes us to live godly in Christ Jesus. This demonstrates to our brothers and sisters in Christ that we are doers of the Word and not merely hearers only. May we who have been rooted in Christ by grace through faith when we were saved, seek to be fruitful in our Christian walk, by bearing much fruit to the glory of God ~ as we abide in Christ and He in us.

Let us not be anxious about anything, but listen obediently to His voice. Let us trust in the Lord with all our heart and not lean on our own understanding. When we do this, the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Whether a pilgrim, a citizen, a master, a servant, or whatever relationships we have in life, let us look to Jesus in humble obedience, and follow in His footsteps ~ by living in total dependence on our heavenly Father, and in willing submission to the Holy Spirit. "For we were like sheep wandering far astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Pastor of our souls."
