Know Them by Their Fruits

The Bible emphatically states concerning false teachers, “You will know them by their fruits” (Matt. 7:16). There is far more instruction in this dictum than meets the eye for many Christians. This is not merely a different way of saying that you can know bad teachers by their bad doctrine. This actually gives us a further test for discerning them. This says we can know the propagators of false doctrine by their fruits—i.e. by such things as the way they deal with people, the way they handle the Bible, and the way they treat the facts.

I don't mind objective discussions on matters of doctrine or discernment, but if someone calls me divisive, heretical, blasphemous, or any like term, or labels me a liar, false prophet, deceiver or any like term merely for disagreeing with teachings like the prewrath rapture, falling away, KJV Only, or flat earth, they will be blocked.

The principles here apply to us, though the application is different in the church age than during the Mosaic era. If God has called you to a work, he will strengthen and support you through all your setbacks and discouragements. He is faithful. So be courageous for the Lord!

Prophetic Update on Iran.

The odds are very low that Iran (the current regime) and the US are close to coming to terms for a permanent solution to the problem. The regime is molded by radical fundamentalism that believes it is their beholden duty to Allah to face down and destroy the Great Satan and the Little Satan. They would rather die a martyr's death than walk away from this glorious cause.

The cease fire serves a few purposes: possibly get some oil through the Strait, relieve some pressure temporarily in the oil markets, give Iran a chance to come to terms (which they have spurned), give pilots and troops a break, brainstorm for the next round, figure out how to take out the missile tunnels (really take them out), figure out a plan for securing the Strait in reasonable time.

I suspect that this situation will eventually be resolved after another round or two of military action. Iran will likely be pursuaded (by Russia, China, and other allies) to surrender to American terms before they have nothing left. This, however, will not really be surrender. It will be accepting a loss in a battle. They will still have their eyes on the prize of destroying Israel.

When it winds down, they will rebuild,with allied help and Western help, They will come back afterwards even more prepared for Israel. They may well agree to not have nukes or long-range ICBMs. They may actually drop their nuke and long-range ICBM programs. BUT, they don't really need them for their goal. Russia, China, Pakistan, and North Korea will provide them, if needed, when the day finally comes.
