My prayer for 2024.

Lord grant me a vision for your glory and truth that can't be quenched, stamina that doesn't wear out, patience that doesn't wear thin, courage that doesn't flinch, and open doors that neither man nor devil can shut.

Prayer requested. A brother and I just sent a demo file and lyrics to an agent for a music project we have been working on. We are hoping that he can secure permission from the rights holder to use the music from a copyrighted song. Please pray that God would grant favor in this matter. We think the production could be a blessing for the work of the Lord in the last days.

Man's primary purpose in life is to glorify God. The essence of glorifying God is embracing His revealed truth in His Bible about His nature, character, and redemption.

"Redeem the time because the days are evil." This is a startling statement once you grasp its depth. The world we live in is far more defiled than many realize.

Spiritual momentum is a mighty force. It is mighty for good when we blow past the gates of hell to rescue men from sin and error. It is mighty for evil when we blow past the gates of truth on a reckless mission for "truth."

Food for thought for those who think the moon landing was a hoax because nobody could survive the Van Allen Radiation Belts.

The astronauts traveled through the Van Allen Belts with some shielding at 25,000 km/hour. This would have greatly reduced their exposure to radiation. According to OSHA a lethal dose of radiation is about 300 rads in one hour. According to the dosimeters carried by the Apollo astronauts, their total dosage for the six day round trip journey was about 2 rads total. Today, active cell phone users who carry their phones on their person and spend much time using it will absorb about 0.6 rads per year. So in four years of cell phone use, they will accumulate more radiation damage than the astronauts who flew to the moon and back.

The essence of spirituality is not having "spiritual" experiences, or revelations, or feeling anything. The essence of spirituality is using your God-given reason upon the God-given revelation (the Bible) and coming to God-honoring conclusions.

Don't be bullied. Addressing error is not, in and of itself, attacking brothers or dividing the body. Error raises such accusations because it can't answer the objective arguments that challenge it. Its only option for defense is to smear the challenges as attacks or division.

When men balk at plain statements of Scripture, historical facts, clear grammatical rules, and the overwhelming evidence of the data, you can rest assured that a spirit of error has convinced them that "truth" is more important than the facts.

One of the greatest gifts you can give yourself is to resolutely refuse to do shallow research. Many of the errors we fight today would evaporate in a hurry if men verified their sources and quotes, exposed selective presentation of data, and weighed both sides carefully.
