There is only one error that the religious make. Running with a narrative which is "proved" with selective evidence and ignoring the evidence which indicates that the narrative is false.

Returned last night from the East Coast Pastors Conference at Calvary Chapel Philadelphia. Wonderful time of fellowship, ministry, and music. Nothing like hearing 1600 men singing hymns and classic worship songs. Heard some great messages. Really appreciated Sandy Adams' message on Moses' staff becoming the staff of God. Kudos to Joe Focht and the crew at CC Philly that orchestrated the conference.

The pretribulation rapture was alive and well in the fourth century.

"For the elect shall be gathered prior to the tribulation, so they shall not see the confusion and the great tribulation coming upon the unrighteous world."

If you want the Greek. Οἱ ἐκλεκτοὶ συνάγονται πρὸ τῆς θλίψεως, τοῦ μὴ ἰδεῖν τὴν σύγχυσιν καὶ τὴν θλῖψιν τὴν μεγάλην τὴν ἐρχομένην εἰς τὸν ἄδικον κόσμον.

Don't play the Holy Spirit card. It is wrong for men to present supposed objective evidence for what they believe, then retreat to the leading of the Holy Spirit when men answer their supposed objective evidence with substantial objective evidence. If you run from objective evidence and slap the label of the Holy Spirit on your beliefs, you are tacitly admitting that you care more about the "facts" than the facts. This is not the leading of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit always embraces the full use of our God-given reason, and all the facts (historical, grammatical, exegetical).
