As the perfect Man, Jesus died to pay the price for sin. As the eternal God Who had life in Himself, He rose from the grave so that His life would become the life of all who believe on His name, and the power of death would be broken for all who, by faith, are His seed. God loved the world so much that He gave His Son, the eternal Son of God, to be born as the perfect Son of Man so that by His death we might be forgiven and by His life we might have eternal life. For His flesh is the true food and His blood is the true drink. May we feed on Him in our hearts by faith with thanksgiving, today and into the eternal ages to come.

Those of us who believe this by faith are justified, saved, redeemed, declared righteous, positioned in Christ, clothed in His righteousness, in~dwelt by the Holy Spirit, and have been given a whole host of other supernatural and eternal benefits, simply by believing on the finished work of Christ at Calvary, for He died for our sin according to the Scriptures, was buried and rose again according to the Scriptures. Do YOU believe this? Let us come humbly before the throne of grace, knowing that we are not justified because of our works or worthiness or merit or religiosity or anything else ~ but because Christ is worthy. Jesus bore all our griefs, and Jesus carried all our sorrows in His body on the tree. He was pierced through for our transgressions, and He was crushed under the enormous weight of the accumulated sin of the whole world. And by grace through faith in Him we are healed, forgiven, saved, redeemed, and freed from bondage to Satan, the curse of the Law, and the enormous and eternal consequences of our sin.

As Christians, we can submit to our old sin nature or we can live as unto the Lord. We can live our lives in carnality or we can walk in spirit and truth. Let us choose to live godly in Christ Jesus and put away the old sin nature, which is idolatry.
Let us remember that we are being prepared for our heavenly home, and when Christ Who is our life appears, we also will appear with Him in glory.

There is no greater hope and assurance that God's Word is true, for God cannot lie. And there is nothing more important than to live our lives in a way that honours the Lord and displays grace and love to others. The little book of Titus gives much guidance to pastors and people alike on the godly qualities and characteristics that should be manifest in the lives of all God's people.

Before the world was created, the plans of God for Christ and His Bride were formed in the Father~heart of the Creator. Christ's earthly ministry, His sacrificial gift on Calvary, the establishment of the Church, which is His Body, Her future role as Bride of the King in the coming kingdom of Christ, and her elevated position in the eternal ages to come "when she will show forth God’s gracious love to principalities and powers for evermore," were all part of God's eternal plan for her.
No wonder the Church has a special place in the heart of God.

By faith in Christ, we have overcome the ungodly world system that is saturated in sin and seeks to entrap us all in its many and varied temptations and enticements. And God has given us all we need to not only overcome the world ~ but also to overcome the flesh and the devil. Let us live and work to His praise and glory ~ for He alone deserves all honour and glory, for He alone is worthy.

There is an order in which Paul writes about this. Firstly: "All bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice." It is only after these negative emotions have been dealt with, at the foot of the Cross, that we can continue with Paul's next exhortation: "Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ has also forgiven you."
Let us be those who are quick to forgive, quick to ask for forgiveness, and in so doing glorify our dear Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Let us not blindly cling to our own self~initiated righteousness in the expectation that God will accept us for our good works. God no longer deals with His people on behalf of the unachievable righteous requirements of the Mosaic Law, but through the Cross of Christ Who became sin for us so that we might become the righteousness of God ~ in Him.

The Word of truth is equally for Jew and Gentile, male and female, young and old, rich and poor, and reaches out into every nation and race, every people and language, and every continent and clime, for God is no respecter of persons and whosoever will may come to the Cross of Calvary and be washed by the blood of the Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world.
The foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. And to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks (to those who have trusted Christ Jesus as Saviour, by grace through faith), Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
