Let us recognise that the normal Christian life in this fallen world, will inevitably result in persecution and pain. Jesus Himself warned that in this world we will have trials and tribulation ~ but we are not to be fearful, for He has overcome the world and we are victorious in Him. Let us, therefore, entrust our souls to our faithful Creator, by doing what is right ~ for this will bring glory to His name and may contribute to a lost sinner being snatched from the jaws of hell.

Jesus came 2000 years ago as Son of God and Son of Man. He came as the living Word of God, the Word made flesh, and thus when God spoke to us by His Son, He became God's final WORD to humanity, which is recorded in the written Word of God. And for centuries, we have been living in the last days ~ the time of God's full and final revelation to mankind: "For long ago God spoke to our ancestors by the prophets at different times and in different ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, Whom He appointed the Heir of all things and through Whom also he created the world."

We are called saints who are to live our life by grace through faith in Christ. We are justified by faith but we are also to be sanctified by faith, as we die to self and live for Christ. And it is works of righteousness that are carried out in this life that will add to our bright, clean linen garment. As believers, we are blessed to be covered by Christ's righteousness but we are also instructed to clothe ourselves in fine linen, bright and clean, which are the post~salvation righteous acts of the saints. May we die to self and live for Christ so that we may produce acts of righteousness ~ to the praise and glory of God.

God is in heaven, and to all who believe in Christ Jesus as Saviour, He will appear a second time. Right now, Jesus is seated at the right hand of God making intercession for us all. But one day, He will come back to earth in His glorious Second Coming at the end of the Tribulation period. And for Christians in this Church age, we look forward to the day when Christ will come in the clouds to gather us to Himself, before the Tribulation period, in the wonderful Rapture of the Church.

Paul determined to teach nothing but the truth about the One Who died for our sins, was buried, and rose again the third day. He uniquely proclaimed the glorious gospel of grace, bringing salvation to all men, both Jew and Gentile alike.
Let us take to heart the truths that Paul proclaims to whosoever will, during this dispensation of grace. Let us determine to proclaim to those God places in our path, the truth of the glorious gospel of grace; that Christ died and rose again, and is alive for evermore.

Because of sin and death, we do not want to be unclothed and naked. We want to be clothed in our new, eternal, bodies so that mortality may be swallowed up by immortality and death may be enveloped by life. The encouraging truth in this verse, is that having been born again into the family of God by faith in Christ, we have an assurance that when we pass from this life into the next, we will be given a new, glorified state. We will be housed in a literal body. What a tremendous hope. Praise His holy name.

A generation in Israel is coming who will hear the truth and be saved. The gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the land and that generation will believe. The mysteries of the kingdom, which were hidden from the last generation in Israel, will become an open book to the next. They will recognise Jesus as their Messiah and King during the Time of Jacob's Trouble, and this coming generation will fulfil Christ own prophetic word ~ for they WILL see Him when they cry out to Him for salvation with one, united voice, "blessed is He, Who comes in the name of the Lord ~ Hosanna in the Highest."

The wisdom of God is truly incomprehensible to the human mind. But even though we now see through a glass darkly, we have the blessed hope that we will one day see Him face to face, when the mystery of the ages shall be fully known. But for now, having had the mystery revealed to us in the beautiful face of Christ, let us say with Paul: "To the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen."

As the God and Father of mercies, we worship before His throne of grace, acknowledging that without the spilt blood of Christ alone we would be eternally separated from our God and Saviour. But God in His mercy and love looked down in pity on a rebellious race of prideful men, and purposed in His heart that by His grace and mercy, through faith in Christ, He would redeem this lost and dying race.
He is the God of all comforts Who comforts us in all our troubles. We in turn can comfort others that are in trouble, with the same comfort we ourselves receive from God: "The Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of all mercies and God of all comforts."
Let us bow down before HIM: the Lord is His name.
