Believing the Bible is trusting the statements of Scripture at face value, using the normal rules of interpretation that we use for all literature. Yes, the Bible has amazing types and shadows, amazing number patterns, sometimes a layer or two of deeper implications or broader applications, BUT such things don't change the way we interpret the Bible. They are merely enhancement and authentication. The Bible was written with common diction, common grammar, common use of figures, and it must be interpreted with common diction, common grammar, and common figures. Any approach that comes with unique allegorical methods for interpretation must be rejected. It doesn't deserve two seconds of consideration. The allegorical method is a categorical rejection of God's future plans for mankind.

Requesting prayer. We have a serious leak problem in our roof. We have water dripping through in a couple dozen places upstairs (so my studio is unusable at present), and it is dripping through the outside walls downstairs on windowsills.

Update on the roof. Further investigation reveals that it probably isn't a roof leak but actually frost and condensation in the tiny crawlspace attic. Apparently the ventilation system isn't working very well.

The judgement of the unbelieving world was set in motion when they cried, "we will not have this Man to rule over us, crucify Him." The judgement of the unbeliever who has rejected God's gracious offer of salvation is horrifying, for they will one day have to stand before the 'Great White Judgement Throne of God' where their works will be found wanting. Let us keep this thought in our minds as we go about our days, and be ready to share the gospel with everyone.

Like the Corinthians, we are also called to be brave and strong in our Christian walk. We are not to compromise our faith but to cling fast to that which is good and noble, right and pure, honourable, admirable, and lovely. And we do this as we trust in the Lord with all our heart, for He is the Rock our Salvation and the Foundation upon which we stand. We are to be devoted to our brothers and sisters in Christ, for we are one Body united together in Him, not only in this life but in the ages to come.

The Bible is the sure Word of the living God Who has told us the end from the beginning, and all God’s children do well to take heed to its precious pages as unto a light that shines in a dark place.
We would do well to read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest the Word of God, and to guard it within our hearts, for it is a lamp to our feet, a light to our path, and it brightens up every corner of our lives, for it is God's instrument to lead us into holiness and to guide our feet into His way of truth.

Grace must always precede peace, for it is only by His grace that the sinner may have peace with God. And it is only by His grace that the believer can access His grace, continue in grace, and grow in grace so that we may have the peace of God which passes all understanding guarding our hearts and minds, as we live in Christ Jesus our Lord and His grace and peace is reflected in us.
