Today, He is the one and only Mediator between God and man, and He intercedes as God's High Priest on behalf of His Church, day and night. But the day is coming when He will return in power and great glory, to set up His 1000~year, earthly kingdom ~ which was rejected by Israel at His First Coming, but which will be implemented through them at His Second Coming, when all Israel will cry out to Him, "Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord."

We are all children of God, but the wisdom of God is conditional on trusting the Word of God. We need to pay attention to all that Scripture teaches us and incline our hearts to learn the truths contained within its pages and then by applying it in our lives. Paul puts it this way: "That I may know Christ." 
Let us seek to know and love the Word of God so that we may come to a deeper knowledge and love for the Person of Christ: "In Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge."

Many religious people today will not admit to their sinfulness, for they measure their righteousness against their own standards or those of other people or by the ten commandments. But sadly, they fail to see that as a member of a fallen race, they are inheritors of sin and death and fall short of the glory of God. It is only through the grace of God that He sent His only begotten Son to pay the full price of our sins so that simply by believing in Him we would be clothed in the righteousness of God, based on faith in Christ.

Such knowledge is beyond our simple understanding, but what a comfort this should be to all those that trust in His name, for there is nothing that can separate us from His continuous attendance ~ nothing can happen which is unknown to Him. Every happening in our lives is known before and permitted by Him. Praise His holy name.
As we ponder the gentle kindness, faithful protection, and loving nurture we receive, moment by moment, should we not glory that we are known so intimately by the God of our salvation, the Saviour of our soul, and that He is with us every step of the way?

Today, we are called of Jesus Christ to sanctification; to grow spiritually in the grace of God and to become mature believers who are rooted and grounded in Christ. This cannot be done in our own might or power, but only as we willingly submit to the guiding hand of the indwelling Spirit of God. May we be willing in all things, to say: "Thy will not mine be done." May we actively depend on Him to produce in us the fruit in righteousness in our daily lives. And may we be actively dependent and yet passively productive for His greater glory, as we submit to His leading in all we say and do.

I find it interesting that those who argue against God using dreams today almost without exception still accept subjective direction from the Lord as a pragmatic reality. God led me to speak this message instead of that message. God spoke to me through brother Joe. God led us to move to Podunk Junction and start a church. We know God does give providential direction that helps us apply the revelational direction of the word of God. Why exclude dreams from providential direction? Dreams are no more abused than "God led me."

I find it interesting how often men respond to a post with "you are making a bunch of assumptions," then can't intelligently articulate the assumptions they claim that you have made and why those assumptions are contrary to either the exegetical, historical, or grammatical facts. I think folks just throw this line around as a fancy pants way of saying, "I like my opinion better."

The Son of God Who became the Son of Man, was the Stone that the Father ordained from before the foundation of the world, to be the Bedrock upon which our faith is to be founded. He is to be the centre and circumference on which forgiven men and women must be securely anchored, for to Him has been given all honour and glory, might, majesty, dominion, and power, forever and ever, amen.

Let us not allow ourselves to be overtaken by surprise like the unbelieving world. Let us recognise, from the prophetic Scriptures, that the coming Day~of~the~Lord is fast approaching ~ which means the Rapture of the Church is even closer, as it happens before the 'Day' begins. So let us be alert and sober and encourage one another, as we see the 'Day' getting closer.
"Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, just as you also are doing."

Interesting conflict going on now between Lebanon and the Jihadi forces from Syria. Is this merely bluster and a show of force on the part of the Sunni rebels? Will the Sunni rebels invade Lebanon and take over the nation, crushing Hezbollah (which is Shia)? Or will Israel defend Lebanon against the Syrian jihadist aggression?

It is through believing on the gospel of Christ (which is the death, burial, and Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ alone), that we are saved. In Him alone is there salvation to everyone who believes, the Jew first and also to the Greek. Throughout the book of Acts, we see this principle: "To the Jew first and also to the Greek," being fulfilled in
Paul's ministry. But today, the gospel is to be preached to Jew and Gentile alike, for all have sinned, all fall short of the glory of God, and all need the gospel of Christ: "Which is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes on the Lord Jesus Christ."
