๐ท๐บ๐บ๐ธ๐ช๐บโผ๏ธ๐จ If Russian assets are confiscated by the EU and US, Russia will confiscate assets of EU and US companies or states.
โก๏ธ This would just be an exchange without a financial loss to Russia, but it would destroy the trust in the west.
In this scenario US and EU companies would take a loss of $300bn, since the confiscated Russian assets would go to Ukraine, but Russia would take that in retaliation from western companies (or states).
In the end the taxpayer still pays, in case that needs to be compensated or bailed out.
Peskov: โRussia already has a list of assets that can be seized from foreigners in response to their actions.
โฆ
Such actions are fraught with very serious consequences. At one time, when Europeans and Americans came into unprecedented sanctions against us, they did not think about the boomerang effect at all. Such actions in terms of seinging and stealing our assets will have more detrimental consequencesโ

In the Shevchenkovsky district of Kyiv, apparently, the large military plant "Artem" was heavily damaged. The above-ground production complex is an administrative building. And the deep underground ones are for production: air-to-air missiles, Alder MLRS and other things.
Officially Kyiv called the hit on military production an attack on a warehouse, stalls and the building of the Lukyanovskaya metro station.

The United States has already invited the G7 countries to think about how to steal the $300 billion in frozen Russian assets. Everything is going towards what I have written about many times: they will squeeze ours.
However, this automatically opens a new and old topic. And in what then to trade, to save, to pay with third countries? We don't need a lot of rupees, dirhams we don't know where to put them... But today, just during the visit of India's Foreign Minister to Russia, our Sergei Lavrov said that the dollar has fed up with everyone....
Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar came for 5 days. Taking into account the structure of the moment in geopolitics, 2 big meetings of comrade and friend Xi with Vladimir Putin this year, the President's trip to the Middle East and the visit of Iranian leadership to Moscow - we are on the threshold of important decisions. There is reason to expect that at the BRICS summit in 2024 we will hear not only about the official expansion of BRICS to BRICS-11(10), but also about the creation of a new settlement currency within the organization. The tasks for the countries' ministries of finance and Central Banks have already been given, the question is the technology.
How has it been and will it work?
European experience took decades. But they are slow people and still they have a full-fledged currency both for the population and for settlements. But it all started with the ECU. The European currency unit (ECU) appeared on March 13, 1979 together with the European Rate Mechanism (ERM), which was designed to reduce volatility.
which was designed to reduce the volatility of European currencies and achieve monetary stability in Europe.
The ECU was a unit of account based on a basket of EU member currencies weighted according to each country's share of EU GDP. The ECU started with nine currencies, with the number of beneficiaries growing further.
Strange as it may sound to some, it was from the socialist bloc countries that Europe licked the idea.
One of the first interstate currencies was the translated ruble of the CMEA (Council for Mutual Economic Assistance). It appeared back in 1963 and had a conditional peg to gold. The transferable ruble was used for foreign trade, international lending and other transactions between socialist countries exclusively in non-cash form on accounts with the International Bank for Economic Cooperation.
Such a two-circuit system, in which the transferable rubles served only as a means of settlements and cash provided for the functioning of the economy inside the country, made it possible to protect the domestic market from external shocks and inflation.
The idea of a two-currency system is close to Brazil, South Africa and Russia, whose export structure is based on commodities. When it is implemented, the value of national currencies will be less dependent on commodity prices. However, for the PRC and India, which export a lot of goods dependent on imported components, it requires reflection and clear calibrated calculations of how it could work in their cases.
The BRICS-11(10) countries will almost certainly use the Soviet experience and revert to a two-circuit currency system, with a common monetary unit for foreign trade transactions only, and national monetary units for the domestic market and part of foreign transactions. By and large, in the current geopolitical configuration, the BRICS countries benefit from the fragmentation of the world economy, which even the IMF reports about as an almost fait accompli. This is what we will continue to watch and finally manage in 2024.

155mm shells are indiscriminate, unguided and have a high error radius, landing 25 meters away from their intended target.
They also expel 2,000 sharp metal fragments in every direction, risking injury, death and permanent disability to civilians within 300 metres.
Yeah, but you don't need congressional review for that!
