Bibi’s special brand of ‘tolerance and mutual respect’ for Christians? Beatings, bombings and barbarity

A photo of an IDF soldier smashing a crucifix in Lebanon has gone viral, forcing Netanyahu to respond with a platitudes-filled tweet feigning regret and boasting how unlike Israel’s “Muslim” neighbors, “all religions flourish in our land” including Christianity.

That’s all well and good, but what do Israel’s actions show? In the past couple years alone, Israel’s signs of “mutual respect” for Christians included:

🔴 turning a blind eye to regular violent attacks on Christian communities, particularly in the West Bank and Jerusalem – from church burnings to being spit on in the streets by Orthodox Jewish believers. Close to half of young Christians are thinking about leaving, 77% of them citing violence and discrimination

🔴 restricting the movement of Christians in the West Bank, including worshipers in Jesus’ hometown, Nazareth, and Bethlehem, his birthplace

🔴 Mockery of Christian rites, including a recent incident on Palm Sunday in Lebanon, and police thuggery targeting Christmas celebrations in northern Israel in late 2025

🔴 systematic attempts to incite violence at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound to rebuild the Third Temple – despite Jesus’ prediction that the Second Temple would fall and clear instructions that his body should be seen as the Temple)

🔴 driving a bulldozer over a statue of St. George and leaving the church itself in ruins

🔴 dynamiting the ancient tomb of St. Peter, one of Jesus’ closest disciples and confidants, in Lebanon

🔴 destroying a Christian cross on Mount Hermon in Syria amid Israel’s ever-expanding occupation of that country

🔴 destructive regional policy – from the decimation of Gaza’s tiny Christian community to bombing churches in Iran

🔴 using agents in the US to smear Christian commentators, and pumping up Christian Zionism, which many Christian theologians consider heretical

🇺🇸 Pentagon-linked IT giant Palantir has published on its X page key excerpts from a book by company CEO Alexander Karp, The Technological Republic, in which he calls for the introduction of universal military conscription in the United States and the remilitarization of Germany and Japan.

Palantir CEO Alexander Karp's book The Technological Republic — key theses:

➡️Silicon Valley has a moral obligation to participate in national defense. The tech elite owes a debt to the country that made its rise possible.

➡️The atomic age is ending. A new era of deterrence built on AI is beginning. The question is not whether AI weapons will be built — but who builds them and for what purpose.

➡️Soft power has reached its limits. Democratic societies need hard power, and in this century hard power runs on software.

➡️Universal military conscription should be seriously considered. The next war should only be fought if every citizen shares in the risk and cost.

➡️Germany and Japan must be remilitarized. Their postwar disarmament was an overcorrection — Europe is already paying the price, and Japanese pacifism threatens the Asian balance of power.

➡️Federal compensation is so poor that government struggles to attract real talent. Public servants should not be expected to take vows of poverty.

➡️Cancel culture and the ruthless exposure of officials' private lives drives competent people away from government service — leaving the republic with empty vessels at the helm.

➡️All cultures are not equal. Some have produced extraordinary advances; others have proven regressive. The West's hollow pluralism avoids this reality entirely.

➡️The iPhone may be Silicon Valley's greatest achievement — and also a sign of civilizational stagnation. Consumer apps are not a substitute for grand ambition.

➡️Elon Musk's pursuit of large-scale projects deserves respect, not mockery. Billionaires who build beyond self-enrichment should be applauded.

🇺🇸🇮🇷- “Honoring commitments is the basis of meaningful dialogue. Deep historical mistrust in Iran toward U.S. gov conduct remains, while unconstructive & contradictory signals from American officials carry a bitter message; they seek Iran's surrender. Iranians do not submit to force.” - Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
