Another major oil and gas company announced that its oil tankers would stop sailing through the Red Sea due to attacks by Yemen's Houthis.

This was reported by BP (formerly British Petroleum), Bloomberg reports.

“In light of the deteriorating safety situation for shipping in the Red Sea, BP has decided to temporarily suspend all transit through the Red Sea,” the company said in a statement.

Earlier, other major shipping companies stopped shipping in the Red Sea after Yemen's Houthis declared war on Israel and began regularly attacking merchant ships.
