U.S. military contractors Pablo Breuer, British defense researcher Sara-Jayne and former director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Chris Krebs have developed a set of global censorship in response to Brexit and the election of Trump. The customers were the US Government and the UK Government.

These leaked documents describe the activities of an "anti-disinformation" group called the Cyber Threat Intelligence League (CTIL for short), which officially began as a volunteer project of data specialists, as well as veterans of defense and intelligence, but whose tactics over time seem to have been absorbed by numerous official projects, including projects Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Now, a large number of new documents, including strategic documents, training videos, presentations and internal communications, show that in 2019, American and British military and intelligence contractors, led by former British defense researcher Sarah Jane "S.J." Terp, developed a system of strict censorship. These contractors jointly managed CTIL, which became a CISA partner in the spring of 2020. In fact, the construction of the Censorship Plant began even earlier — in 2018. Internal CTIL messages on Slack show that Terp, her colleagues, and officials from DHS and Facebook are working closely together on the censorship process.

The CTIL structure and the public-private model are the basis of what the US and the UK began to implement in 2020 and 2021, including:
1️⃣ -masking censorship within cybersecurity institutions;
2️⃣ -Anti-disinformation programs;
3️⃣ -stopping the spread of undesirable stories, not just incorrect facts;
4️⃣ -putting pressure on social media platforms to delete information or take other measures to prevent the spread of viral content.

The totality of the documents forms a clear picture of the well-coordinated and complex efforts of the U.S. and British governments to create internal censorship and influence operations similar to those they used in foreign countries. At one point, Terp openly referred to her "behind-the-scenes" work on social media issues related to the Arab Spring. On another occasion, according to the whistleblower, she expressed her obvious surprise that she would ever use such tactics, developed for foreign citizens, against American citizens.

🛢📉 OPEC+ members agreed to make 1 million barrels a day of additional oil-supply cuts to go alongside Saudi Arabia’s much-anticipated extension of a voluntary reduction of the same size.

Members have agreed to this in principle and it now goes to a vote at the meeting, delegates said, asking not the be named because the information was private.

The deal fulfills what delegates had said were Riyadh’s goals for the meeting. More than a week of preparatory talks appeared to have overcome internal disagreements over some members’ production quotas. Oil rose 1.4% to $84.22 a barrel in London

Saudi Arabia had been pressing the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies to make an extra effort to restrain output after crude prices fell by more than 10% from their September high. A deeper collective reduction combined with the extension of Riyadh’s voluntary cutback could stave off a renewed oil surplus next year.

American representatives are capable of a great deal. There is little or no credibility to what they utter on a wide variety of subjects. We are in a state of violent confrontation. An all-out hybrid war is being waged against us. It is not hidden. And any twists and turns are possible here. But we are ready for them. If that is Washington's choice, we will take note of it and take appropriate countermeasures.
